Thanks for the info Dave. 41500's Chrissie I'll have to invest in some decent batteries. I'm trying not to spend anything else in the hope of convincing the wife to let me buy the iatty. That's if I can even get hold of one. I saw a video about the SS where Imeo said there was a problem with the threads so I'm hoping it doesn't take him away from the iatty too much.

I guess you mean 14500's? I was just a tad concerned you may have been using the 2 16340's I sent you with the SD, in tandem. There have been issues of batteries overheating/venting when used in tandem.

14500's are the ones! I need a high resistance atty don't I for the tandem option. Haven't got one so that can wait. The SD is really nice by the way. I stretched the spring a bit so the buttons not so slack. It works great, thanks again.

Yes, a high resistence attie would be a good idea with the batteries in tandem. But you still have to be very careful using batteries in tandem. The GG has lots of safety measures like vent holes etc (unlike many other mods out there) but there have been issues of batteries exploding when used in tandem. They need to be paired ie batteries of the same age & charged/discharged at the same rate as possible.

I all honesty, it really isn't worth stacking batteries - tyou're not going to get a much greater wattage out of 7 volts and a 5ohm atty than you would from 3.7 volts and a 1.7 ohm atty...

I'll stick to my one battery and LR atty, suits me fine. Last thing I want is to blow my baby up!
