If it's cracking our tanks what's it doing to our lungs ?

I think the OP is wondering about the possible corrosive effects over time to lungs. In the same way as exsessive consumption of coca cola can damage the stomach and bowels in the same way that it can clean copper, what could a do juice that over time will crack a poly tank, do to the human body.
Good question methinks.

I think you could also clean copper with the acids swishing around in your stomach (well, not that clean, but you see what I mean). I suspect our bodies are better at handling organic acids than plastic is.

Mp that's exactly what I was thinking lol. You woulnt put stomach acids in your lungs tho would you. Especially not repeatedly.

You need a biochemist to answer this one, but I don't think you need worry. If there was a problem it would be dangerous to work on a factory that made fruit juice, and there'd be the same sort of publicity about it as there is about popcorn lung. Also if you left lemon juice on your hand for a while it would start to burn. They wouldn't be putting it in washing-up liquid.
Different acids react with different things.

more likely as the Citiric part of juices that crack tanks react against the polycarbonate, hence why Citric juices are kept in plastic bottles so suspect its a chemical reaction with polycarbonate
you could also put same with into lungs part along with airfeshners etc

There are so many e-liquids out there that I just avoid the ones known to crack tanks. This is through personal choice and also because I finally have enough sense to stop smoking and vape, I'm not going to compound a problem we are unaware of if there is indeed one. Like I said, it's my personal choice.

Differing types of plastic, often used inappropriately in ad-hoc designs by companies in a rush to get something on the market, being subjected to various mixes of PG, VG, flavourings, etc. Some poor choices of plastic reacting badly with the contents. I don't see it as been hazardous, just bloody careless.

One of the reasons I decided not to use polycarbonate tubes on my tanks was that there is no food safe certificate with them as there is for the PMMA tubes that I use, PMMA is also more resistant to tube cracking from juice (just one so far). The ingredients in juice are so widely used in other products it is hard to see that there would be a problem with them. Indeed 14 months down the road I feel great and when my hands are not busy with something I chain vape.

I remember buying a polycarbonate crash helmet and there were warnings all over it saying not to stick stickers on it as it would weaken the shell Also a few years ago people were putting cling film on caravan windows (polycarbonate) to protect them from scratches and it was causing them to craze, so it's not a very stable material

Different grades of polycarbonate, for different functions, and sometimes the local supplier is ignorant of the difference. I have a couple of pc windows which went brittle and opaque after a decade, but my m'cycle windshield top (made myself) was from a different supplier of what was actually Lexan and it's fine. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polycarbonate
