That's outrageous, I would have though it only illegal to market but not to use, god they treat it like a class a narcotic now?

it was a f@ckin joke. they wouldnt let me on with it in case i poisoned the whole plane, regardless of the fact that ryanair sell ecigs on their plane. and on closer inspection, they never cost me 100 quid, its more like 200 now and another months stay in denmark cos of em. im gunna be spikey for days

I understood 100 ml was the amount of liquids in hand luggage, probably wrong though.
So, the only valid excuse they could give was the poisoning one, really?
Is it allowed in the hold?
Think I'd be firing off a few choice letters demanding compensation, you haven't broken any laws but they have cost you a lot of money.

hmmm expensive lesson either way all i have found is this re: liquids etc in hand luggage Rules introduced 6 November 2006: To protect passengers against the threat of liquid explosives, the European Union (EU) security rules restrict the amount of liquids that can be taken through security checkpoints.
This applies to all passengers departing from airports in the EU regardless of the destination. This means that, at security checkpoints, both passengers and hand luggage must be checked for liquids in addition to other prohibited articles.
Liquids may be carried in luggage that is checked in to the hold Medicines and dietary requirements, including baby foods, for use during the trip may be carried in hand luggage. Proof may be requested Liquids such as drinks and perfumes may be bought either in an EU airport shop when located beyond the security check or on board an aircraft operated by an EU airline
Note: If liquids are sold in a special sealed bag, do not open it before being screened, otherwise the contents may be confiscated at the checkpoint. (If transferring at an EU airport, do not open the bag before screening at the airport of transfer, or at the last one if there is to be more than one transfer).
The rules apply at all airports in the EU and in Albania, Croatia, Iceland, Kosovo, Norway and Switzerland until further notice.
so by that description your probably right ,most annoying was you took it out UK no problem

I think people get above their station sometimes.
I know a pilot that had after shave took from him as it was 125 ml, this was the guy flying the actual plane, I'm sure he could do more damage with a 300 Tonne plane at 600 mph than a bottle of Armani.
Common sense need not apply. F***wits.

Skwoddy --- but you have to think hand lugage even though its ejuice and we know the risks but with twats that have done nasty things on planes ,see a bottle marked "poison" what you going to do ,end of day there doing there job...... bottle of Armani contains alcohol 100% makes a good base for explosive

I'm saying that there was no common sense applied, why would a potential terrorist risk getting caught with explosives when he's the guy flying the plane?
They were flexing muscles, absolutely no reason he should have missed his flight.

I work in Customs and the best thing to do is: Keep all Juices @ around 50ml (You can take 100ml but the bigger a liquid is the more cautious people are) all in separate zip bags. Take batteries out and in a zip bag. Keep in your hand luggage. Basically bag everything in seperate clear zip bags. I myself have never stopped anyone going through customs nor do i know anyone who has if the above is done. To be completely honest to this day now ALL airports that i know of are still not sure what the rules are with carrying ecig stuff and when you ask the people above they say the same "Aint gotta clue"
