The lower the resistance , the more power it draws from the battery, the hotter the operating temperature.
Still shouldn't taste "burnt". it all depends on the juice your using too. some flavours are better suited to a higher resistance atomizer. if it tastes harsh and burnt it's either a juice that doesnt like getting too hot or it's not wicking well enough, maybe a bit of both.

Some citrus flavours are slightly oily, which may make them more liable to clog and burn. And the Riva isn't really designed for 1.8.
May be worth trying shorter drags, but if I were you I'd go back to 2.4 for the fruit.

I have a juice that simply cannot be used above 3.5 v , so using a low res head would give in effect a higher voltage .
Some juices can handle it some can't

I have used twists and mvp. mvp is great.
I use 2 900mah twists to rotate between as my regular vape - can't go wrong!

I'm having trouble getting on with an apple pie and custard flavour... It likes to build up gunk and give a burnt taste after an hour or so of vaping... What do you reckon will fix it? 2.8ohm at 5v? I have been using it with a 2.4ohm on an ego battery.

I'm on Arnold's apple pie and custard 18mg and using CE5 and kanger T2 long wicks 1.8 & 2.4 ohm heads at 3.4v on vamo sometimes I go to 4.5w when I'm brave lol. Not had any gunk but I'm not constantly on it might be best to have it in 2 of the same and rotate to stop the coil getting too hot just a thought bud
