Pass through battery

Is it safe to charge the pass through using a regular charger that screws on the top?
Also I want a car USB adapter does it need to have a certain power or will any do?

Yes

I use one that has a 1amp output but 500mA will do.

I checked myself when I got one of those passthroughs, I think because the passthrough wire was getting a bit tangled, they're not very well made really so I can see why anyone would wonder if it could just be charged through a normal charger!

Depends on how the battery is wired from the circuit board..The circuitry is identical to that found in VV battery with LED charge indicator.

But to be safe, it's better to charge them from the USB end.

In my defence I have a pass-through battery here, that I've had for quite a while and I have charged it up through the battery connector with no ill effect. But to be on the safe side unless the manufacturer or vendor says it's OK you had better use the mini USB (or whatever it is) connection.
