After asking on the Forum about E-juices that had some real flavour, DiscoDes sent me some of his Melon Bomb. In just over 6 months of Vaping I reckon I could count on 2 fingers (no pun intended) all the flavours that actually taste what they say on the label. The rest should be done under the Trades Description Act! However, Melon Bomb kicks even these two out of the ball park. It is fantastic! It has the Melon taste on both inhale and out and leaves a wonderful aftertaste that lasts for ages. But, for me, the best part is that it stays a fresh taste in the mouth no matter how long I am vaping it. I have been trying many new flavours recently but all of them, whilst initially giving me the proper taste, after a few tokes, dulled to become a bland vapour. But not Melon Bomb. Indeed there is only one "downside" to this mix which is that all the ingredients I need come from the States. On the up side, mine are in the post. A couple of trial mixes of this in 50ml batches and then I will be onto a 45 gallon mix. Thank you Des, you have restored my faith in vaping pleasure!

Sounds good but have you tried puffin eliquid with the extra flavour option? I have found they have excellent flavours which are consistent and vary close if not prefect replications of the actual thing its meant to taste like. Especially when steeped.

My experiance so far with juice has been crap, they all taste and leave an after taste that is disgusting. OK I'm happy that I've given up the fags, but it would be nice to find a juice that was more than just a poor substitute for fags and gave real pleasure. So give us more info on the melon bomb please. It has the Melon taste on both inhale and out and leaves a wonderful aftertaste that lasts for ages. Thank you for making that clear dosser, it wasn't so befor. I am not sure where the recipe actually is, all I know is that it is one that DiscoDes has posted to the Forum. But if, like me, you find most recipes bland, then this one is most deffintely anything but. However, I reckon that it is such a good recipe, that it would carry the same flavour punch with any fruit flavour. Its not so much the fruit but the Koolada and Cinnamon Hot Shots in it that set the tone for the mix.

Hi Everyone, First off thanks Mike for the review The recipe was inspired by Great melon Balls of Fire & Ice by GenXvapor in the USA which I tried and failed to replicate, however I did like the mix I made, it's called Cherry Bomb and you'll find it in the mixology section. I adapted it for melon and made a few "tweaks" for this recipe, you'll find it attached. WARNING this recipe is STRONG I don't do subtle! It will leave you tongue tingling, if you like the heat of a curry you'll like this although it's a different type of heat, more peppery. The ingredients do not have to come from the USA, you can get the Watermelon & the Cinnamon red Hots from E-cig wizard along with the Koolada. PG Nic base is from Post Modern Smoking. I also like a thick vapour hence the 25% VG. And it's sweet, you may want to cut down on the sweetener a bit, you could always add more. Enjoy! Attachments:

Hi Discodes, Looking at the Cherry Bomb measures, I notice that in the Melon Bomb it is down at V2. Was V1 a direct change of flavour only from the Cherry to the Melon? In the V2, there are quite a number of adjustments in the measures of the ingredients. How did you decide on these changes?
The reasons for these questions is that I feel that the Cinnamon Red Hots and the Koolada are a brilliant base mix for a number of Fruit Flavours and if I can understand your reasoning for changing the other measures, then it will be easier for me to tweak my own experiments with this recipe.

Go by the V2 quantities, I adjusted the flavour % as it was really burning before! Also my original V1 mix was lower nic. You could always add more flavour if needed.
