Sorry, I tried to resist that title for the thread but couldnt stop myself I have read some of the official statements from airlines, but was wondering if anyone has "got away with it" either in the passenger cabin or a sneaky one in the loo. I have been trying my luck in the major shopping centres of Kent/Essex, and as long as I keep away from the Wife (LOL) and do not go chuffing along like Thomas the Tank Engine, I've not been kicked out yet. 2 types of vape. The feet up giant mod in hand - clouds of vapour - exhaled triumphantly in the air - proud vape. & the stealthy head down and turned away - extra breath in - to reveal nothing - stealth vape. Just dont mix the 2 up at the wrong places!

I haven't done it myself, but have read a lot of threads saying you can usually go for a sneaky vape in the loo unless they have mega sensitive detectors. Either that or you can stealth vape in your seat by using a cig-a-like and holding it in until very little vapour comes out

On the next to last leg of my flight back from the states last August, I was put by an American girl. I was so pleased when she pulled out a electronic cig! Of course I had to get mine out as well and we sat happily vaping and chatting away, suddenly an announcement came out over the tannoy to say that vaping is not allowed on this flight After that we were just nipping into the loo occasionally for a quick vape I would normally go to the loo on the plane for a vape, just make sure you don't fill the tiny room with tons of vapour, I normally blow it down wards and do a bit of a waft dance in between puffs

Yep managed a quick vape on a flight back from Gran Canaria! Wasn't brave enough to try it in the cabin as I didn't really fancy getting beaten up by fellow passengers mistaking me for a terrorist but made a couple of trips to the loo for a quick stealth vape.

I haven't tried vaping on a plane yet but plan to do so in June. I've found the best stealth device for me is the SD Keyring as it can be concealed easier in my hand as it's small and doesn't have a button to light up. I asked a couple of my favourite vendors to make me some 'Stealth Juice' in my favourite flavours, with a very high vg content so very little vapour is produced. I often use this combination to vape in places where I'm not supposed to and have always got away with it.

This information is for entertainment purposes only :-) I once read on the internet that Boeing toilet sinks run at -8psi and will easily suck out anything you can blow at it, just get close to the sink and keep the plug up and never touch the smoke detector. This doesn't work on an Airbus. :-)

I have many times in the loo, and a couple of stealth vapes in my seat too, especially if the lights go out on a night flight.

ditto Des,
I've done it a few times now, firstly a stealthy Sd Keyring and 510 cigalike in my seat by the window, or in the toilet.
Also worth attempting is to inhale the vapour, then a second short inhale of air straight after, then exhale quickly. Surprising how little vapour comes out and less worrying when close to the smoke detector in the toilet. An added bonus is the light headedness you get too

You try it first, if you don't get arrested as a terrorist then I'll think about it

Just back from Tenerife last night and succesfully stealth vaped in my seat going and coming back in the plane. I was using a riva 1100 and Grizwalds Black Cat so there wasnt a massive amount of vapour. It has been the most relaxing flights I have had because besides the stealth vapes I was happily vaping away in Glasgow and Tenerife Airports right up to boarding so didnt have that early check in 'no where to smoke' feeling. I also spoke to many tourists in Tenerife who wondered what I was using, not sure if I converted any but they all said they would try it when they returned home. I also never had a problem vaping away in the many different bars I visited in Los Cristianos and Las Americas.

Flybe asked what I was doing but didn't mind as long as they have no complaints from other passengers. Air France take a very dim view, told me to stop or I would be arrested on landing.
