Hi, I recently got myself a Vivi tank from Charlie's vape shop which I have been very happy with. Excellent service as always by the way. My question is related to the spare wicks which are pre-coiled, but which have a section of mesh included. Quite simply does anyone know how this is intended to be used. Sorry if this a bit of a basic question but in my limited defence I am a recent convert to vaping, having started out on new years eve with an ego starter kit from Exhale. Again, can't give enough praise for excellent service from Dan at Exhale too.
Any advice will be gratefully received as I start my journey into modding with the lavatube I had donated by board member Apostle51
Thanks,
Shaun

Could be for wrapping around the end of the wick to make it easier than passing a camel through the eye of a needle?

Too true, already 'unfurled' one side of one of the spare wicks attempting to feed it through the sub-atomic sized hole in the centre plate. Luckily for me fellow vaper and board member Bryson123 was on hand to perform an on the spot rescue making a wick and coil from his supplies and getting it installed inside a 30 minute lunch break.

Tin foil works as well if you are stuck

mesh can be used instead of silica wicks. Yet to give it a bash. Do you recon it will improve anything?

i was watching a youtube vid last night about a hybrid silica mesh wick duno if they work is it one of these ? i've made a few for my nova tanks and while they work just fine its pretty fiddly and getting them right without shorting can be a pain, my advice is stick to just silica as the difference isn't major!

Hi all, and thanks for the advice. Sadly its a moot point now as I tried to take the beast apart and ended up snapping the battery connector off as this was the only thing i could (VERY FOOLISHLY) grab a hold of as the threads were (IMO) LUDICROUSLY tight and the edge is a tiny chromed bevel, hence no grip or purchase. Sad, as it seemed capable of producing decent vapour.
I have seen a SMOK version of the same type of design featuring push in top and bottom plates and may consider one of those at a later date, though I am hoping the EVOD group/co-op buy goes ahead as I would like a few of those to be going on with.
Anyway, thanks again for all the suggestions and answers,
Shaun
