I'm having a bit of a mid-life crisis over what to order for the next month Now I'm sure that I will be a vaper and not a smoker from now on I want to start settling into a measured and organised monthly vape cost. So far it's been a case of "Oh shiny" and two of this, three of that and one of those. Trying everything and anything, admittedly pretty much everything I've bought has been good but if I continue buying random stuff all the time then I'll end up with loads of stuff that doesn't get used and stuff I need that I don't have. So. I'll be making a regular monthly purchase on payday of all the stuff I should need for the month, which will also help with the postage cost. The only thing I can't work out is Clearos/cartos/tanks. Which would work out more cost effective? Rebuildables or cheaper disposables. At the moment I have a mass of used Vision Clearos, a small stack of Riva cartos, A Nova, three DC LR Cartos, three DC LR Clearos. All of them still function... more or less, most are a bit long in the tooth now or tainted with strong juices. Would I be better off buying 4 Rebuildable Clearos or mini Novas and then just buy new heads each month or Vision Clearos that I can get for £3 each then just chuck them after a month and replace them? Obviously if they are still going strong after a month I won't chuck anything but I don't want to be doing mid month orders when I'm getting skint because my last Clearo has decided to go poof or that last lot of Menthol I put in a Clearo has rendered it unusable for anything but Menthol. Also if rebuildable works out best would you recommend mini Novas or something bottom fed like a Kanger?

Get a couple of decent Stainless steel rebuildables and they will serve you a long time with very little running costs and give you a consistent and good vape. Initial investment may seem a bit high but it will cost pennies to run and will serve you well if you are planning to stick to vaping for some time to come. If you like cartos, a spheroid is a sound investment. The new Euforia Penelope clone or the original penelope with clear tanks will also be very good if it is a clearo that you are after.
For stuff like NOVA I would just buy replaceable heads because they are semi disposable in reality. They are all plated and will degrade over time. I have heard that the iclear30 is all stainless, so may be something to look into if a NOVA type clearo is what you are looking for.
As for choice it depends on if your personal preference tends towards warmer or cooler vape. NOVA is a top coil and the vape will be warmer. Kanger T3 are bottom coil and the vape will be cooler. Bottom coil attachments give a slightly cooler vape.

Thanks I prefer a warmer vape tbh so I guess the top coil are a better bet. I was thinking along the lines of rebuildable being better, when I do the maths and it's less wasteful and I get less junk kicking around.

since I bought a couple of Aga-t's and an Aga-s I havn't looked back, as macca says the initial outlay is a little more than disposables but they are in the long run very cost effective and in my opinion work very well.

Not interested in rewicking tbh. Don't mind replacing ahead when needed but the rest, nah not for me Although I'm not vaping much a.t.m. I was finding I was getting much longer out of Nova and V3 heads than the early days. I think early on, I vaped too fast, didn't swoosh enough and wasn't accustomed to the taste of anything but an ultra-clean coil/wick. I don't expect to be doing much re-wicking from here on. I bought the kit (wire/silica) and did about 10 over two days. That was months ago. Over the next period of time, my spending is going to be curbed a lot. I don't find myself looking at gadgets like I used to, or thinking "oooh, would that vape better?".....I shall mostly use up my liquids, mix a few of my own and avoid expense. I think it can be done, I'm sure you can do it too.

I've done a rough "fag packet" (pardon the pun) calculation of my monthly spend and it's £40-£50. So not all that bad and cheaper than smoking.

If you don't want to get into building your own wicks and coils then novas - mini or full size depending on preference - are the way to go. Cheap, easy and consistent.
