I honestly don't know what all the fuss is about. Yes, i agree with the whole food mislabeling thing. But come on!! if you are prepared to eat a cow, pig or sheep then what makes horses so bloody special? You eat pork and pigs are more intelligent than dogs.
besides, horse meat actually taste nicer than beef. i think the whole UK is going batshit over nothing and blowing the whole thing out of all proportion.

I'm with you on this one mp , I can't think why (other than mis labelling ) that eating a horse is any worse than eating cat , dog , cow , pig , etc

Strike outs so as not to offend cat and dog lovers , but lets face facts its done in other parts of the world

I'm pretty much with you as well MP . . . although I think some of the concern here is if the horses have been injected with a veterinary drug which can be harmful to humans.

In various wars, famines down the centuries it wasn't uncommon for soldiers and the like to slaughter their horses for food.

Not that I eat red meat anyway, but I'm sure if I were starving my morals might be slightly different.

I only started the thread as laugh, just a little light hearted fun.

Personally I wouldn’t eat horse if given the choice, I think the point is, people where not given that choice in fact they where clearly misled, and sadly it’s the poorest section of the community who have probably been affected the most.

I also think that the only people who are blowing all this up out of proportion are the press. I think personally it’s all about greed profits I would hold the supermarkets to account if anybody, for not auditing there suppliers and for not checking and testing there own products.

I bought 10 of those Findus lasagnes from the corner shop earlier. Nothing wrong with horse and got em cheap because everyone is like eww gadz horse meat.
