Hi All. I have at present acquired: Vamo,LTv2,Mini LT(black one)Ego Mod V2,Ego twist. Awaiting delivery of the ZMax (group buy). Recently acquired a Bosq wooden mod from `Jane`, brilliant piece of kit, 18650 battery lasts days. Hence I have now decided to explore the mechanical mods, but which one. ??? ??? Your input/ recommendations will save me hours of searching, plus more importantly making costly purchase mistakes. Thanking you in advance for your replies. jeffc.

Would definitely have to be telescopic, preferable stainless steel but not essential, and have the ability to take a 'kick'. Other then that since I don't currently own a Mech Mod which fits the above criteria, can't give you a particular brand, sorry

Anything that offers the best combination of flexibility / durability if it was to be just one. As mentioned, telescopic, adjustable centre post, brass connectors, ability to get more than one spares pack. I'm lucky to own several mech mods, mostly so I have a few bases covered if any kind of ban comes into force. Vv mods are likely to fail at some point.
Recommend.
69 Mod Ggts Roller
There are plenty of mods for most budgets, but like anything, you get what you pay for.

If you don't like the look of the telescoping ones there's always ones with interchangeable tubes like the Poldiac. May want to consider whether you like bottom buttons or not. I'm not overly keen on them myself, although it depends on how good/easy the locking mechanism is. Stainless steel is more durable than aluminium, which is prone to scratching, although its much lighter, which I like.

hi I went for the 69 mod,did my homework due to the price and i must say its fantastic, smaller than i was expecting its like a pocket rocket on a aw16500 and very good on a 18350. I went for for the brushed finish and love it.Have not found the switch an issue as some had complained its a bit light to press, The threads are very smooth and you can tell its quality.

There are a lot to choose from Jeffc! Box mod or tube mod? If you want a tube mod, what metal? Bottom switch or side swith? Telescopic or fixed tube? and so on. I'd say the best bet is to look at some reviews, here for instance: www.e-cig-reviews.com/Narrow it down a bit to the type of mod that appeals, look at what is available and keep your eye on the classies

there are a few things to note
mechanical mods are practically bullet proof and fairly simple in design with no electronics to blow of fail with mechanical mods its essential to keep them clean to maintain optimum performance telescopic mods need more cleaning specially the telescopic threads and due to the fact they have more pieces and hence more areas to lose electrical conductivity its often believed that mechanical mods cant hit as hard due to their limited voltage... pop a nice low ohm coil on and they will hit harder due to not having an amp limitation
18500 and 18650 also have the option of adding a 'kick' that will add VW feature

at $63.95 it does seem very reasonable, wishing it was stainless steel tho
