My pheonix has a really airy draw as well. I use a 510 to ego adaptor to solve the problem. It doesn't look neat tbh, but I'm not worried about that. I'll see if I can sort out a pic in the next couple of days, the camera is away atm.

I read somewhere about putting a small wrap of clingfilm around the mesh where it would touch the base of the atomiser solving hotspots... Because the base touching the mesh was causing a short. Not clingfilm, a rizla. When you fire the kanthal it burns away leaving a layer of carbon under the coil. No it was definitely cling film Nelson to insulate the wick from the atty base. I think it was on Vape TV

The rizla is to create a layer of carbon under the coil..
The cling film is to insulate the wick from the hole in the diaphragm where it enters the tank..
