It is pretty technical and a long thread but could possibly show up some health issues from Stainless Steel oxidation. Have a read and make your own mind up.

Well, I would suggest to also read the 740+ page thread on the dangers and microscopic photos of silica wicks..

And then there is always acrolein formation at the temperatures they are talking about.Basically I should be dead..)

I read it and it scared me Macca and having read it and heard it for the first time I just thought I should flag it up.

I think I'd prefer to chance SS wicks instead of silica atm, but as always I will keep my ear to the ground for new discoveries.

Am i right in thinking a tank system does away with a wick so i don't need to worry?

Im following that thread, more out of interest than paranoia at the moment, If I see undisputed evidence that vaping causes as much damage as smoking then ill quit.

It just depends on what your wick is made of. The post refers to Stainless Steel wicks

Yes, me too, like you, not out of paranoia, it was the first time I had heard of that possibility and it gave me a scare. Best to know about these things

Turning to vaping has knocked 6 minutes off my best 6 mile run time (56 min), Im thoroughly enjoying that fact alone.

I know what you mean, my breathing is so much easier now after 40 years smoking, vaping was such a great find. So it took you under the hour then?, fantastic!!!    By the way, what`s running ???

Im just not quoting all the cream doughnuts and processed crap that I stopped eating 6 months ago (apart from the odd welcome blowout)

But yes, increased lung capacity and energy dont come from eating carrots alone, vaping has made it easier.
