Hi all I have been thinking about moving over to e-cigs for a while now but not really looked into it that much before. I signed up for another forum (looks US based - and had a quick look through and there is a lot to take in! I think to start I want a KR808, 510 or similar I am trying to find a good website (UK based) that I can buy a starter pack, 2 batteries, couple of diff types of liquid, etc. I did look at the supplier list and started clicking a few links but there are so many to look through.... Hoping for some advice and some recommendations Thanks in advance

Hi l personally started and am still using the Riva 1100 it comes with 2 batteries and everything you need, go to the homepage on this site and look for vendors and you will find Jason at Vapescape they are really good but don't forget if you order to include the discount code which you will find that gives you 10% off and a good site also for the liquid is Vapourtine they do discount also but their flavours are great, hope this is of some help and keep us posted and good luck to you

Just read as much as you can. When you have decided what battery and liquids you want, check out all the vendors especially those offering discount, the prices are very competitive, just shop around. I have not heard of the KR808, but I started with the Riva kit and still use it but I now prefer the Ego Twist with a Kangor MT3 Cartomiser, which is something for you to think about when you have vaping a bit and understand more about it.

Hi defectiveaudio I too would recommend the Riva kit from VapeEscape. Get one of them and a few sampler-sized bottles of juice, and you'll be off to a fine start

The KR808 and 510 were just something I read about on another website (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-information/287787-three-main-types-ecig-explanation.html) before I started looking at a few forums, I just searched for on google and came across this - That is the kind of thing I was looking to purchase first (not necessarily that kit from that site though) and Thanks for all the Welcomes, I wasn't expecting such quick responses

defectiveaudio, The first and most common mistake a new vaper makes is to choose a e-cig that is the same size as a cigarette. We've seen it here MANY hundreds of times. People buy the "cig-a-likes" then find they get fed up with constant charging and the relatively weak output of vapor. Then they'll come back and say they want something bgetter and we'll recommend (generally) the Riva or Ego (nearly identical) which they then buy and say how much better it is. Save yourself money and listen to the advice given and also taken by HUNDREDS of people and go for the Riva or Ego. I'd recommend it and with every respect I've lots more experience than you BTW I shall be in the Seven Stars next to the Fleece on Sunday afternoon watching my friends band and happily vaping away!

The easy answer is - RIVAThere's simply no comparison between that and anything small and cig-like. I wasted far too much money on E-Lites, then switched to JacVapour. They were good and I quit smoking, but a "proper" e-cig is the way to go. Also, my JacVapour kit was as much (if not more) that a RIVA kit. I sometimes use my Jac's and do recommend them (OFTEN - Take note JacVapour ) but only to light smokers.

PS - (KR)808 and 510 are fitting sizes. 808 is more or less obsolete (don't bother) and 510 is the most common and does not denote the size/power of the battery. I have 510s that are 280mah and one that is over 2,000mah. There's also the eGo fitting. eGo batteries have this (somewhat obviously) but most (?) decent batteries have both eGo and 510, apart from "mod" type batteries, some of which are only 510.
