Wow, so there is some car "love" on here. Dee - I love it! and what a colour. Lobey - that is beautiful, one day (if I ever get a house with a garage.....) - - - I had some bad news this morning when I phoned my insurance. Apparently, as soon as I "swap" the insurance over to the new car, the old one will have to be declared SORN. That mean a) no test drives for potential buyers and b) it's going to sound like a banger in the classifieds....."current owner 6 years, declared SORN"...??

Lovely car dee, our tax is about that maybe more, can't remember exactly and our insurance last year was about 900 quid Lol, thankfully it was 150 quid cheaper this year and it's only a 1.8 turbo. mrs has just informed me what car she wants next, Nissan quashqai, I've put her straight though.

Thanks Blue, I do really love it even if it refuses to budge when there's the slightest flake of snow on the drive! I've had quite a list on cars in my time, my all time favourite was a Mitzibushi Colt Starion turbo, the engine had been customised messed with and it would go 150 mph Considering it was 25 years ago it was a pretty fast little dream machine. We had Datsun 280ZX's, a 924 Porche, a Saab turbo before my son was born, then it was sensible family cars

Wasn't it supposed to be called "Stallion" like a "Mustang"....or is that an urban myth?

I can only say, go for it. You could just use it as a weekend car and sorn it for the winter There are no kids here, daughter is just selling her gen 6 celica as she got a subaru WRX and so it starts again, what wheels? coilovers or lowering springs, remove the orange indicators, replace with clear and on and on and on lol. We don't drink (maybe twice a year or so)...........or smoke our only socialising is car orientated. So I suppose fuel is our treat. P.S it was midlife crisis here, I'm 51 and he is 55 lol

Those MR2s look fabulous. I expect when I return to Toyota-land, you and I will cross paths at some point.
There was a chap outside Blockbuster today with a 1990 "G" 2.0GTi MR2. I'm going to look out for him now.
I did get some bad news today though. Apparently, as soon as a swap from Puma to MR2 (and the insurance), I have to declare the Puma SORN. Which is grim....how easy is it to sell a SORN car? It used to be nearly impossible.
or have attitudes changed?

Possibly they will have, with the law changing on tax, ins etc. Many more cars are now Sorn. I am more concerned about when MOT is due than anything else when I look for a car.
Good luck with the sale.
