I had a horrible coffee flavour in my ce4 clearomizer. Managed to take it all apart, clean it in hot water, re wick it and put it back together. Refilled with new juice, strawberry, but it still tastes of coffee! Really is over powering! What can I do to get rid of the coffee taste. I only used boiling water, should I use something else? Or should I cut my losses and bin it ,which is what I'm going to do with the coffee juice!

I read about using vodka, so i went out the other night and bought some vodka. I don't drink but tried some anyway. I can't believe people enjoy drinking it straight. I also just bought a coffee juice and not sure about it yet, seems too sweet and caramely, i hate caramel/toffee/vanilla and seems to be a hint of it in most juices

I'm surprised it still tastes of coffee after all that. Did you rewick with new wire and wick? If not could it be burn? If you did, new wick sometimes tastes bad for a bit - sometimes its just the wick, sometimes its grease from your fingers
I don't have a ce4, but what I use on stuff that retains a taste is a little vinegar in hot water. If that didn't work I'd try vodka next.
I don't know if you can dry-burn a ce4.

Some flavours, menthol and coffee in particular, are almost impossible to get rid of. A new clearo will cost a lot less than a bottle of vodka !! As an aside, never use boiling water to clean clearos or tanks, it can deform or even melt them. Water from the hot tap is all you should need.

The easiest way and i do this with all my clearos is to pour some vodka or pure alcohol from chemist in a pot. Take the clearo apart and rinse all parts off, then put all parts in the vodka except the base, leave to soak for 24 hours, then rinse all parts off again, pat wicks dry, dry other parts, re-assemble the base and the head, put back on battery and dry burn till coil glows red, let it cool, put back together, fill and vape.

Will try flushing it out with some vodka but I can't work out why I can still taste coffee. It wouldn't be too bad if it was a nice coffee but its really bitter and very strong. I bought it as it was on sale along with other juices to try but it's just horrible. Might add some cream and some sweetener( not real stuff) and see if its more palatable. Maybe I shall use this carto for that. I have others and some on order so it's not as if its my only one. When I have cleaned and rewicked my ce4s before, it's been like using a new one. Just goes to show how potent this coffee one is!

Hmmm.
I had one that had seen quite a lot of DJS's "Raspberry & Strawberry cooler". (Mostly Raspberry with a hint of Strawberry, mint and a secret weapon).
Couldn't get rid of it at all. It's now resting in the vape box alongside 8ml of the berry delicious e-liquid.
Also, I have a vivi nova head in the same predicament sitting next to some GVC

I thought they could be stood in vodka overnight I'm not entirely sure, i have put them in a few times but worry the vodka might effect the little rubber seals round the base so don't want to give out advice in case it does.

If you like menthol then maybe menthol is strong enough to overtake the coffee. Then just keep it for menthol.

That is true but the vodka lasts ages and i only buy the cheap stuff, use the same 1 pot of vodka every 2 weeks as it stays in the pot and re used. I use this vodka www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=255987230 and i still have three quarters of a bottle left and i am almost 2 months in so working out cheap. The heads are still going that are soaked and 1 of those came in the first kit the other half bought in the middle of december. Same flavour and vaper as new heads.

I don't want to start a new thread, but I have a similar potential problem. I have the tube bit of a Kanger T3 that still smells of menthol, but I have loads of new T3 bases. Could it still contaminate a flavour even with a new base? If so I'll just keep that tube for menthol.

Or soak in water overnight with a denture tab
