Friends have been impressed how I have given up smoking and asking how I did it etc. When I say e-cig/vaping They say Ahhh yeah have tried that it useless. I ask what they have tried and it is always cig-a-likes. How do I get them to hear that this is differant.

I think everyone finds their time and their reason to quit Cas, and preaching just hardens the 'anti' in those that are unready

Have they seen your set up & how different it is from cig-a-likes? If not, they may feel differently after seeing & trying it out, if they have, then they're not ready.

My brother in law has spent a couple of hundred quid on cig-alikes, and yet still smoked, he believes that what worked for him was having something strong, something he liked, and having something that took away the smoking habit, having a cig-alike is like having a real cig, to a point, but he has found by having the itaste MVP battery, a big square with a button and shiney screen has broken the "I'm sort of smoking but I'm not cycle" that he was getting with the cig-a-likes. He now Vapes, and nothing but. His first vape almost blew his head off, he loved it, and has vowed never to touch another cig or roll up again. If people are going to try and give up, they need something that rocks, he's been lucky, I'm the one who started with x - moved to y - and ended with z - I threw him the z and he's well away, loving it - in fact after an order for over 100ml of juice went in, he said "hardly touched it yesterday" So if it means he can give up completely then good for him - the advantage has been he's been able to show of his kit and juice (that sounds ominous lol) at work, and everyone is now saying "give us to the end of the month, we want one, got to have some of that juice, wow it rocks" - so there we go. This isn't the case for everyone.......but it might just be, start with the best kit, the best juice and cut out all the rest working up to it, maybe all those months ago when I was jesting about starting with a Penelope and Pro-vari now makes sense?

However all non-smokers who have a friend who smokes were really interested and wanted as much info as possible

Most simply won't listen to anybody who isn't a smoker, and by vaping, you are now the enemy. I know plenty of smokers who are trying their best to ignore what they are doing to themselves, I think it's just a defence mechanism, it was for me. There are those that will try vaping and take it up. Some of these will have come via mini e-cigs. There are those that will try a Vapestick, skycig or E-Lite and instantly dismiss them. Very few (at the moment) will be lucky enough to have someone into Vaping to get them started. I guess the only thing to do is "be there" for them if/when they decide to try it properly. - - -

However all non-smokers who have a friend who smokes were really interested and wanted as much info as possible One day they may ask more about it, when they really feel ready & see how well you've got on with it. I've found that non smokers show an interest & have someone in mind. Maybe we're better leaving it to the NS to do the hinting/converting. lol
