Well, I'm getting to the stage where I'm thinking about giving up (waiting for Payday that is). So it looks like the Riva 1100 kit and some Grizwald's samplers. Again the flavours that seem to crop up more than others are, Black Cat, Old Holby and Banoffee. (which I do drool uncontrollably when I come within 2 metres of the edible variety). I am guessing that the 'Cartomisers' are better for experimenting with samples and the 1 clearomiser is for when you have established that flavour that you want to 'favourite'. Does the clearomiser store more juice? Am also guessing that by its name you can visually see when you are getting close to a re-fill? OK so thats one 1100 kit, 3 trial flavours (feel free to recommend any more). Would you suggest that I get any more spare batteries or clearomisers etc? Credit card on standby! All my best Good morning and welcome Johnny. I'm new to vaping too and have been using the Riva 1100 for 3 days and not had any desire for a roll up. Personally I think the kit is more than enough for starters, although not much harm in throwing in another clearomiser. You are correct in your assumption that you can see exactly how much is in them, although personally I prefer the draw from the carto's at the minute. No need for spare batteries yet either as it comes with 2 already and they charge pretty quickly. (about 1-2 hours). I bought the Grizwalds Black Cat and Old Holby samplers and put in an order last night for a 30ml bottle of the Old Holby as so far it really does hit the spot for me only having stopped the rollies 2 days ago. Good luck to you mate, your post about the condom method and licking your mates fleece made me spit me tea out. hahaha

Hi Johnny and Welcome I managed 2 days on E-Lites before I found this forum. Another one for the Riva 1100 deluxe kit. Good luck and happy vaping Good for you. 2 days without any sensible nicotine - EPIC! On my first day, I had to drive into the wilds of Wales, sit up a hill and smoke about 6 Amber Leaf before my bad mood subsided. (I still have 5 x 50 gram pouches of it left.....damn you e-cigs.....NOT)

Haha now you know why we try to convince everybody to forget the cigalikes and buy a Riva or Ego I reckon from now on we should just point them in the direction of your post above when newbies ask what the difference is

Well, I have to admit I was a little worried that it would have the kick or taste of a proper tobacco cigarette, but I have come to the conclusion that in the last 2 weeks, my taste buds have definately evoled, because in the last day or two, my e-lites have started to taste a little...off. First thought I was just having a bad tip or 2 but tried a couple from a new box.
When I was on rolling tobacco, I used to use a rolling machine, due to suffering from fat finger syndrome, I just couldnt roll a decent one to save my life. However, especially on freshly opened pouches, it tended to roll them that tight so that on occasions, it was like trying to suck start a Harley Davidson.
To get around this I would dry it out by microwaving it for about 40 seconds, making it much dryer and stronger. And while the E-lite certainly helped on the initial swap from the real stuff, this RIVA is soooo much better, not only on taste, but nicotine hit.
All I have to watch now is that I dont sit there with it permanently hanging out of my mouth!
