Safest way of sending something of value ?

Hi all ,

Can anyone help me out here ,

I've been contacted by someone (new member/no posts) who wants to purchase my Touchwood .

What I need to know is the safest way to take payment and post to ensure it arrives OK .

Is paypal secure ? .... I need to cover my back just incase anything goes wrong .

paypal is secure but send it special delivery with tracking number and get a genuine telephone number off the buyer and ring him for added reassurance.
if item lost or not received then its insured.
if buyer does a chargeback, paypal will ask for a tracking number which you must provide for any recourse.
if in doubt, dont sell

I can only echo all Spikey's advice GD, Special Delivery is the only way to go.

Best wishes if you do decide to deal, but there is nothing that says you have to . . . though everyone has to start somewhere.

Special Delivery and ask them to pay by Bank Transfer, after all you have a 380 post reputation and they dont have any!

and if you do send it off stick stamps SECURELY onto package!!
