I do hope this is the good news we are after, but forgive my ignorance, if it now comes under tobacco, will we be hit by extra tax duties?
My friends are paying nearly £7 for 20 cigs, as the tax man keeps heaping on duty.
It would be a sickener if we were made to pay tobacco duty on vaping gear ??? (hoping I have got the wrong end of the stick as usual!)

That's a good question Kat, we really don't know what is going to happen next. The FDA is supposed to be suggesting regulations in a couple of weeks. As far as taxes, I'm sure that's going to happen sometime in the future.
This won't affect the UK though, unless your people decide to follow what happens in the U.S.

It will be very interesting to see which way the FDA go. Although taxation will be bad news for both suppliers and end users, it will also help to weed out the unscrupulous sellers and make the whole industry safer. I think if the USA go with the regulation as tobacco it won't be long before the UK follow suit. We can all protect ourselves from the lovely tax burden by stocking up on eliquid before they jump in.

With all the uncertainty that we had, Dee, I stocked up. I have almost 2 years worth of e-juice in my freezer.
