Aargh! Went to visit my son at uni on Tuesday, showed him my e-cig all proud, he did the typical man thing and decided to take it apart B-| but unfortunately instead of unscrewing the clearomizer from the battery he unscrewed the bottom of the clearomizer completely off resulting in liquid all over him. The next day i only went and accidentally did the same thing to a different clearomizer.... Despite screwing them back together, both are now leaking all over the place. If i leave them lying somewhere they end up in a puddle, i cant work out why its happening, is that bottom bit never meant to be unscrewed? I am a bit miffed as they were both rebuildables but seem to be unusable now and i have lost an awful lot of liquid cos i keep thinking they have stopped leaking but they haven't! Any advice on trying to salvage them will be hugely appreciated!!

if you are talking about ce 4 clearos try pulling them apart in in hot water not boiling leave a few mins and then re assemble[push tank in firmly ] while still warm/hot,leave them to cool, cured mine
[thinking you have pulled clear tank from base]

Oh heck, i am confused and should probably also make a confession. I have never cleaned any of my clearomizers out yet because i am very unsure which bits are meant to come off and which parts aren't. I dont know how to screw a head in/on or off and i certainly cant fathom how any bit of it can be tweaked with a screwdriver I dont understand which bit is the tank, is it the clear bit with the levels marked on? The head is the bit with the wicks dangling off it yes? If so, should that come completely out for cleaning and does it come out the top end where the drip tip attaches on or the bottom end which is the bit my son and i accidentally unscrewed?

the head is the bit at the top of the metal tube inside the rubber cap. this unscrews away form the metal tube at the top. the metal rough bit at the bottom unscrews from the tank. the drip tip unscrews from the top of the tanks. i take the drip tip off, the metal bit out and then unscrew the head

Once i take the drip tip off there are two metal bands around the clearomizer, one at the top (the end where the drip tip was) and one at the bottom. Do i unscrew both these metal bands? Does the head come out of the top or the bottom? Thanks for assisting!

There are all sorts of different clearos and writing instructions can be difficult What I'd suggest is, when one isn't working take it apart. If it's not working, you can't break it It should then be quite obvious what bits you can screw off! The other thing to do is, search on youtube for videos about your particular clearo model!

the smooth bands stay on. the bevelled band on the bottom unscrews and the head unscrews from the top of the little metal tube attached to the bevelled band which is the base
