Hi All, Because all the bottles are boxed and in a Jiffy Bag they are 25mm thick and therefore will not (Deemed by Royal Mail) fit through a letterbox. They will not go as a large letter and have to go as a small packet.
Postage cost us £3.65 at the Royal Mail counter (1st Class, 'Sign-For').
The other 34 pence covers the Jiffy bag, fuel and time, no profit is made from the postage.
We only charge what we are.

Hello, cant you take them out of the boxes to make the package thin enough to fit through the post office template, im sure if vaping vision can post for free (99p recorded) im sure you can. 1.Does the product need its box? all i can see from this thread is Your losing sales through high postage cost's, i get where your coming from with your explanation, but other vendors are supplying juice for much less postage. Thanks Carl

Hi Freestyler, Many thanks for your comment but we have already tried various options. The problem is the bottle diameter of the Premier range is 22mm. Even if we remove the packaging it is still too large to go large letter. www.royalmail.com/personal/help-and-support/Tell-me-about-size-and-weight-formatsWe have tried it in a jiffy bag and in a plain envelope, still no dice. We have even tried different couriers but they cannot match RM rates.

I hate paying for postage, but after my mega clear out I can confirm that the problem lies with RM not the vendors! I've been totally stung posting liquids! I had some very budget padded envelopes which would take small liquid bottles for a large letter. Not being able to source these envelopes I bought some others. That must have made the package around 1mm too fat if that! I sent someone a wee sample to try 5mls in a thin 10ml bottle and got charged £2.70! A slight tap on the envelope would have got it through the 'slot' but they're not allowed to do that ??? As with anything, way up the prices and then the price with postage, if you're not happy don't buy. Vendors can't possibly take the hit for nearly £3 for posting a bottle of liquid. If they don't charge postage it's likely that they will have to put up prices to compensate for it

Ok no problem, only asked because i have a padded envelope here from vape gear sent to me 1st class price £1.20 that big padded envelope contained an agr tank v2, 2 packs of boge carto's and a carto punch, and this was pushed through my letter box with ease, so karma needs to go to another post office if a 5ml sampler is bigger than my package. I sent 2 days ago 3 10ml bottles from vaping vision to another member for £1.20 which coincidently is the price on this package, i think your local PO is scamming you Karma. Persons need to be challenged and not enough people do it.

Nothing to do with your letterbox Freestyler, it has to go through, with ease, their 25mm slot!

I know that, just hypothetical, but i was only trying to be as helpful as i could with the vendor as the thread was awash with people saying it was way too high price for postage, lots of other juice vendors out there are no where near that, you just need to factor the pricing in elsewhere, litlle here and a little there to soak it up. (Im speaking through experience as a seller of other non related items)

I have a problem understanding why we are all so obsessed with using jiffy bags. The plastic bottle that contains the liquid is probably a lot stronger that the jiffy bag. I can understand why delicate items need to be put in bubblewrap then into a jiffy bag but a bottle of juice or two can easily withstand normal handling by the Post Office delivery system. I have sent samples to people and even sold juice and posted it in a plain but strong envelope for 90p because I begrudge paying the extortionate prices that the Royal Mail like to charge. I would also think that many juice bottles could be sent using these:- www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-NARROW-Small-DIAMETER-Postal-Postage-Mailing-TUBES-/400021334664
