PANIC,!! Riva not working!!

Omg, I'm riva-less !! . It's not working!

I've just plugged the battery in to charge and put on the other charged battery, and nothing! No Vape, just a mouthfull of juice, so I recalled reading about the centre pin in the battery getting stuck, and prized it back up a bit, which slightly worked ( small bit of vape for a second or two), but then it stopped again! Tried to prize the centre pin up again, noticed there was juice actually on the pin so cleaned it a bit and started again, but now nothing at all! :-[

So I changed the battery over to the one that was charging, and still nothing? Ok so the battery may not have been charged enough, but the fully charged one isn't working either, so what am I doing wrong?

Hope someone can help me, and thanks in advance if you can, incase I don't manage to wrestle the iPad off my daughter again tonight > and have to go all night without being able to reply to any posts. But I'm in a huge panic, this is the first day I haven't had ANY roll-ups, and have none in the house now! Worst day for this to happen!! (and I have a hangover too)

OK, emergency, but don;t panic, work through it. The 1st 2 questions to ask.

Are you using the clearo that came with the kit ?

Does a cartomiser work ?

Is the charger deffo working, perhaps try cleaning that too

did you also clean bottom of clearo,if you have ,then possibly the coil has blown,try a spare on it

and you have 5 clicked it back on ?

Yes, to the first question, no to the second

Yay, so pleased you are sorted. I couldn't help but was watching your thread hoping someone with more experience would be around

A couple of suggestions Bebe, some of which you've tried . . .


Has the clearomiser died? How long have you had it, they don't last forever.

Try raising the centre pin a bit higher - you've tried that.

Try an alternative cartomiser from the kit, see if that works with your battery.

Does the battery light flash eratically?

OK. First, don't try to get it working with a clearo. As Andy says above, they'er liable to just pop and the one with the Riva kit isn't great to start with.

2nd, get some paper towel and give each of your Riva batteries a good clean around the top. Ideally with vodka, or some kind of spirit.

3nd, Try every cartomiser you have. Do any of the 5 you have work ?

It's unlikely both of your batteries have gone.

oh no @ not sorted But hang in there they will get you sorted cos they are fab with all their advice and knowledge

5 rapid clicks to turn on or off
clean then raise centre pin again DO NOT touch the fire button when you do this.
when you screw clearo on you only need it to make contact and fire up
there is a good possibility you have pushed the pin back down again
always cleen the threads and point of contact dry and clean every time you remove the clearo
you may split the rubber insulating grommit if you screw it down too much
let us know how it goes

I'm KIND of sorted... There was a bit of vape, suddenly? ??? Almost like it should be? Maybe it was a bit wet or something? Ooooh, just had a real vape then!!

What do you all think was the problem? Should I buy more batteries, just incase?

Phew!

Don't want to panic like that again, lol.
