About to start Mixing

Im about to order equipment, Bottles, Juice, Flavoring etc etc for mixing me own

I need your help on what to order though please ?

I would like to make 30ml bottles of menthol at 24mg nic vg70/pg30

I have a bottle of 100% VG from Boots 500ml already

what else do i need for my shopping list please ie: size of bottles, ml,s of such and such and so on

So far im my shopping cart i have

Platinum Ice pg nic base 54mg 100ml bottle £12.46

Mixing Set 3
Small set of tools for mixing smoking liquid.
Set contains:
1 ml syringe.
5 ml syringe.
10 ml syringe.
20 ml syringe.
18g sharp needle.
18g blunt needle.
25 ml meassuring cup.
A pair of medium gloves.
A pair of large gloves.
2 pcs 10 ml dropper bottle.
2 pcs 30 ml dropper bottle.
2 pcs 100 ml bottle.
£4.86

Fresh Mint Flavouring 10ml bottle £1.80 ( not sure how much to order of flavoring, how far will a 10ml bottle go)

bottle of boots VG 500ml

is there anything im missing ?

At 24mg strength you are going to need AG nic base as you cannot achieve 30%PG using Pg base nicotine.
..and you will need to add PG to your list. I would get rid of the sharp needle and get a large diameter blunt needle instead.

Just realised it is kit list ..Ok.

At 24mg strength if using PG Ice54 then minimum PG is 44.4% not 30% plus you will be using say 10% flavouring which is Pg so you end up at 54% PG.

edit - I guess mint might be around 5% actually, but you may not like it, so get some other flavours as well.

That would be ok i got the percentage a bit wrong after looking at what i vape already so it would work out at pg 54% vg 46% yeah ?

so if i wanted to make up 30ml of ejuice how many mls of each item would i need based on 54% PG 46% VG 10% flavoring ?

Im very new to this so bear with me

PG - 0.17ml
VG - 13.5ml
Flavour 3ml

Mils are easier, because all bottles have different drop size, so some may be 20 drops per mil, others 30. As you are getting a few syringes in your kit, it helps.

Tip. Put clear nail varnish over the markings on the syringe, they wear off easily.

As said before you will need PG to achieve what you want.

If you arnt too fussed about the ratio then you can make your liquid with just vg - using pg base most of your mixes will come out 55-65% vg.

No, but it is useful to have. Your mix without additional PG will be:

At 54.5%PG 45.5%VG You get
Base - 13.33ml
PG - 0.02ml
VG - 13.65ml
Flavour 3ml

A minimal amount of PG.

If you want accurate % then you need both really.

Have a play with a mixing calc to see what you do...

I found I didn't really need pg.

Most of my mixes look like this...

54mg pg nic base - 33%
flavouring pg - 20%
vg - 47%

18mg - 47%vg/53%pg

Obviously less flavouring means more vg but I am quite happy with that.

Yup, I (eventually) have settled on 18-20mg @ 60Pg/40VG so I do need a spot of PG. It's handy to have it in. There's a couple of flavours I've found work better (for my taste)at 80/20 PG/VG, but only a couple.

If you want 24 mg with 10% flavour no pg added would give you -

nic base pg 54mg - 44.3%
flavour pg - 10% - 10%
vg - 45.7%

Therefore a 54.3/45.7 pg/vg mix.

Hope that makes sense.

Swapping for a vg base would give you 90% vg.
