MrL, I was gobsmacked when I heard the news about the incinerator Well unfortunately i always knew it would be built , the first decline of planning was just a political trick , to give the illusion of democracy and also to keep there seats ect in the elections and Cornish council. Also its the cornish council who gave SITA the contract

OK going to be devils advocate here. If more folks used there vote & especially on the AV referendum, there may have been more chance of the Greens getting in (yeah I know - hardly any stand in Cornwall) & then things like this incinerator wouldn't have got the go ahead. I spat blood after the general election - for the first time in my life I tactically voted - for the Lib Dems, to try & stop the Conservatives getting in. What a blooming joke that turned out to be >
