I've been soaking my drip tips in a sterilising solution used for babies bottles overnight, so I know it's not that in my case.

It could be the material the Drip Tip is made of though Mark, in which case sterilizing would have no effect.

You need to do a process of elimination really, to try and pin point the cause.

Oh I do still think it could have been a number of things which is why I never posted about it.

The drip tips I have are the black aluminium 306 type I use with my atomiser, the clear plastic one that came with the Riva 1100 kit and the black plastic ones that come with CE4 clearos. I'll have to go and look up what they are made of.

Perhaps you should wee on them, a few members have said that sterilizes them.

I've had upper body spots breaking out as a reaction to cheap no-name juice bought from DX - never again.
One of my drip tips is a nice rubber one, but it caused my lips to swell a bit, so that got binned. I find the Delrin ones perfectly ok and the rubber ones on the Smok DCTs are fine, too. There's an SS one which gives me a slight swelling, but I regulate how long I use that for.

The only thing that really concerns me about vaping is inhaling artificial flavours. I often wonder how many E numbers I am inhaling and whilst many could say "well when you were smoking you were inhaling all those chemicals" and this is true. But when I made the decision to stop smoking and start vaping, it was for a better life and a healthier choice. I think a lot of vapers either don't think about this or don't want to, but personally, I think ALL ingredients should be listed on e-liquid bottles.

I did have a bad itchy, slightly swollen face thing happen with only one juice, so nothing to do with vg,pg or nicotine. Must have been something to do with the flavour! It was a flavour I really liked too

Getting the same thing now vaping Apple and Blackberry but its all i have in the house at the mo so im putting up with it

spearmint flavouring (do not know what company made the flavouring it as it was a commercial juice) - Ripped the hell out of my mouth lining and throat and I couldn't use it. Boba's Bounty (which I loved) seemed to cause an irritation on one of my tonsils. That's not confirmed as I seemed to have developed some sort of an infection on that side of my mouth/throat as something is going on with my one ear so it could be totally unrelated. Aside from that I haven't really had a bad reaction to any other juices yet... I have now started mixing my own exclusively and being very wary of flavouring sources and "safe" flavours...

The other night I developed a sudden extreme blocked nose - only alleviated with Sinex - and blocked like someone stuck rubber bungs up there!! Now I don't know whether it's a reaction to the juice flavours I was vaping that day or just a simple common cold type thing..(lot of it going around here lately and with three kids in education there are plenty of innocent carriers in the household!) however I stopped that flavour the same day and for the next two days I still had it - so in all likelihood it's probably just a cold - as an allergic reaction would have subsided more or less within 24 hours...

One thing I have noticed the last few days is that I am vaping the sides of my tongue dry out - I can feel it happening - soon as I'm finished ample moisture returns very quickly - but it's an observable effect.

I will have to experiment with the recipe in future and naturally if it does occur I'll have to track down which of the four flavourings used was the culprit or indeed if it was just having them mixed together that caused it - Or I'm simply barking up the wrong tree as usual.

One thing I have noticed though is that now I tend to suspect the vaping for every ailment that isn't readily explainable.  When I was smoking rollies not once would I have ever in a million years blamed the fags for getting a blocked nose out of the blue - or a sore throat or an ear infection etc...
