I left them to soak in vodka overnight, they are the vision ego v3, even the one which comes with the Riva is leaking. Spare parts arrived today, but the way my day is going I am not even going to attempt to rebuild one even though it looks simple enough.

I must admit I have had my ups and down with clearos. I started out with the disposable ones which came with my starter kit, but soon moved onto the rebuildables, which are fine, but all of a sudden they all started leaking at the same time, and I can[t work out why. I think that one solution is always buy your clearos from a reputable dealer, and then buy all your spares from that same dealer too. That way you should be guaranteed that they will fit the original. I must admit I've shopped around a bit, although I have my favourite vendors, and am in the habit of adding a couple of spare heads to an order 'just in case'. The lack of compatibility may explain why the clears I have are now leaking. I've now moved onto Mini Novas and Novas, and these are much cleaner to use, with very little leaking providing you don't overfill them and again, use the heads from the same vendor as the original. Andy

Karma I don't like the cartos but have bought spares in case of emergency, anything is better than going back on the analogues.
AndyB I bought the clearos and spares from vape escape as they had good recommendations and haven't let me down. I am guessing its just my bad luck they 4 out of 5 went within 2 days.

Zelda, once you get the hang of filling cartos, they can be a lot less faff than some clearos. I'm back to using carto tanks again, getting a really good vape and flavour. The other thing you could try is Vivi Novas, I've found them a lot less hassle than other clearos ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

So which bits are broken then zelda and where are they leaking from? also one of your posts before said you did not want to try and rebuild one, have you tried swapping plastic tanks and bases around and filling with water to see which leaks and which doesnt and then just replace the bits that do?

Romelee I haven't seen them before. Do they vape like cartos or clearos?
Karma I was going to get a mini nova but they were out of stock, so bought spares for the clearos I have and then today in a hurry I bought some Ce4's from a vender I haven't heard off but they were buy 5 for the price of 3 and got 12.5% off.
Money is tight however I would rather spend £300 than go back on the rollies again. As long as everything is comparable with my Riva and new beautiful embosed ego battery I don't mind trying anything (within reason).

Romelee's link is to basically a giant carto! If you get the first fill right, then they do work well with no leaking etc ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Those look like a pain to fill without a syringe.

I think Vape Escape need to add a wish list to their site.
Roscopecotrain one has come apart, the metal ring on the bottom of the tube has come off, so needs gluing back together.
Great idea of filling them up with water rather than juice to see which ones are leaking and where from. Fixing session tomorrow evening.

Not sure it is wise to glue it, just replace with a new tube.

I have to say, reading threads like this about clearo problems makes me glad that I quite like cartos ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

I think the only thing that put me off cartos is not knowing how much juice is left and the crackling noise.
Through reading here I have found out that you just refill when the flavour or vape start to fade and that washing them is not a good idea. How long roughly would one of the cartos in the link last Karma?
I will take your advice and bin the tube and not glue, I did buy 2 spare tubes just in case.
