I'm sorry Chrissie I don't know all the jargon, tank?  It has cartomiser, is that right? you can clean wicks and buy new ones.

With regard to hubs I have tried to get him to try it but no go, since I have stopped smoking h has cut down though so thats good.  I won't pressure him, he has to want to give it a go.

Hi Tigger, and welcome to the forum! Well done on your quitting the stinkies, and let's hope that hubby will join you before too long.
I'm hoping that my wife will join the vaping revolution before too long, but she's still convinced that there is something intrinsically dangerous about vaping. I have mentioned the 4000 chemicals that she's inhaling and that I'm not, but the media have done a hatchet job on her and she still believes it's not safe.
I had to buy some fags for her tonight - £7.88 for 20 B & H - and she berates me for spending £20/mth on DIY ingredients which will make enough juice for 2 months. I just need some more cartos and a couple of Vivi heads and for an extra £12 I'm all sorted for the next 2 months!!

I am lucky. My other half vapes as well as loves a bit of vape porn so spending money (when we have it) is not to much of a problem.

AndyB I think that is what is behind hubs refusal to vape. He is not convinced its safer than smoking.

My smokers cough has gone, whereas he still coughs in the mornings, I can now get upstairs without being breathless but, as much as I point these things out to him he just won't have it.

Forgot to ask, does anyone here vape just VG flavours, if so are they ok?  I am finding the PG is drying my mouth out too much so have ordered some VG coffee to try.

What pg vg ratio are you using? Most peeps use a 50 50 mix i think. I use 70pg 30 vg. Vg is on but more vg the less throat hit and the more it mutes the flavour slightly.

Thanks rosco, 70/30 for me at the moment. I will see how I go with just VG and then maybe twiddle a little.

It's weird that many seem to be a little adverse to PG based liquids, for me it's the other way around. VG dominant ones make me really chesty and leave an odd feeling in my mouth.

If you don't get on with VG either tigger, try a 50/50 mix.
