I have an unbreakable basic phone, brilliant bit of kit, does voice calls, txts (if I reeeeally have to)....... um and that's about it.
I don't need a mini computer to carry around with me all the time, although I agree if I played sardines each day to commute, something to make the journey go quicker would be good.
I've been thinking about getting a SIM only deal from Vectone, they do really cheap deals, but the customer service is said to be dire. Atm I'm on PAYG and use about £20 a year, although I'm starting to use it more through work now.

Upped my Contract to unlimited minutes and texts, 1gb of internet and got rid of the landline. Simples. £36 all in, so easy to budget rather than guess what each phone will cost. I couldn't justify paying ridiculous line rental charges. and then call charges for two phones.

I just put in an order for BT Infinity - not so sure that was a great move but the sky BB is so bad lately it can't be worse. No chance of going to Virgin - when I was with them they hooked up 2 neighbours to my line so nobody got a decent service - will never ever use them again. It was so much easier 10 years ago when you expected to wait a minute for a page to load

I have a Galaxy note 2 that costs me £24 a month but it's everything and I run my life with it. The 5.5" screen also makes it a great phone for videos, it connects to the bluetooth in the car for hands free, satnav and music player, it's my personal organiser, phonebook and email as well as used for surfing the net and visiting here during my lunch break. I can even use it to connect remotely to my PC at home or my PC at work as well as the work servers if needed (don't tend to much because the screen is too small for VNC really. I can understand why people don't like mobiles though, you have to have a certain mindset and will to use technology to it's fullest and you have to be patient as the gods themselves because technology will always go out of it's way to screw you up at every opportunity it gets. That goes for everything not just phones. Every computer you interact with on the internet, your TV, your phone service etc generally has an army of skilled people behind it working 24/7 just to keep it running. I remember at school reading that in the future everything would be automated and robots and technology would do our jobs for us. Bollocks! Just as many people have to be employed to keep systems running as used to do the job manually in the past On a side note about people suiting technology. My Dad being a man, likes technology but struggles with the most basic feature phone. (he's not too bad with his laptop or PC though for the basics.) My Mum hates technology but uses a smartphone (Galaxy S1) like a pro and has no problems with it whatsoever. Strange.

In fact it takes me half an hour patting all my pockets to make sure I have not forgotten anything. As they say in the church "Spectacles, testicles, wallet, and watch" Mono Nobody has a pocket watch now so that needs updating to "mobile" Spectacles, testicles, wallet, and widget

I love my iPhone 4, but I'm a huge data user - I hate it when the bloody thing actually rings
