& just to verify, if I mix the tobacco up first ( with nic base & PG/VG), when I do the additional flavour/s, I need to make it as a seperate mix i.e. with nic base & PG/VG I'd just add the additional flavouring neat myself Chris after a bit of time steeping on your Tobacco/main flavour, less faff. Depends how critical your nicotine strength is to you. Can't advise you on what % to use for your Tobacco concentrates I'm afraid as I don't use any.

if you're testing flavour only, worrying about the nic content is not too much of a concern imho
keep the ml low so you're not wasting liquids and build upwards
keep baccy % low ... up to 5% initially unless you have found a base you really like. Some concentrates can seriously overpower other flavours - I found that out with TPA DK Tobacco base.

with the recent baccy testing I did, I mixed 5ml of liquid with about 2% flavouring just to get a feel of the flavour initally. I left them for a week. Once tested I then added the additional flavours I wanted to mix with them then waited another week. Basically I have a combination of flavours I like but wanted to see how they reacted with a different baccy base. I've subsequently rejected one of the tobacco bases which I still need to find a flavour combination for. With the preferred baccy I then mixed 20ml. It's steeped a week so far. Got Perique and Dark Vapure in the post. Will be doing the same approach with those then adding some flavours to see what they mix well with. I've recorded each base and flavour as a separate recipe file in eJuice Me Up. So when you added the additional flavours to your tobacco mix, did you just add the flavour concentrate on it's own, or did you make a mix of that flavour (nic base, PG/VG & flavour) & then add it to the tobacco mix?

I topped up the original mix ... I used eJuice Me Up to work out the # of drops .. I know this would send the %'s out of skew in comparison to PG/VG content and reduce the nic and TH but I was flavour testing and quite frankly couldn't be arsed to mix more. It's not totally accurate in comparison to a proper mix from the start but I can deal with a bit of variance. (I subscribe to Perps' Laissez Faire School of Mixology - mix and taste and see what happens) Good thing is Chris, with each test you do, the better you get, so don't worry about it too much.

Good point Ash never thought about that before, you can get 500ml of PG for about a fiver and make small no nic batches to see if you like the taste, once you get a winner mix it with the more expensive nic base, even although you are wasting flavour it will just be a small amount of each so cost is minimal

Even with 1ml samples using nic base, you are counting drops. Should be sufficient to get a fair few tokes on a 306 and a good idea of how it tastes
