I've decided to ditch the various mixes I've done & start again.....Too much faffing about with %'s.........I've made all of them up at 20% flavourings, using a tobacco & another flavour....Thing is, I've put 15% tobacco & 5% other flavour & I'm sure that can't be right.....I reckon, reading some of the recipes, that the tobacco should start around 3-4% & the other flavour/s around 8-10%....in other words, the opposite to what I'm doing.

Instead of ditching them cause they are too stong could you not mix up your next batch with just a weaker version of the other flavours and once they have steeped get a small bottle of the new flavour and add a little at a time of the old one until it is vapeable. Have made a few mingers myself but most end up vapeable if blended with others. Just a thought Stu

As long as you mix the ones you have mixed up already together it won't weaken the nic at all it will just change the taste ie 2ml of 20mg tobbaco mixed with 3ml 20mg new mix will make 5ml 20mg tobacco/ new mix juice

Still pretty new to mixing myself but I find I tend to get the best results when I mix things as single flavours and 'blend' them once they have steeped a bit.
Doing it this way you can try lots of different flavours using several base flavours by mixing really small quantities of two or more and tasting them with a dripper, if they are minging strike that off your list, if it's nice note down what was in it and try a 5ml batch for your atty.
The one thing I have learned is write down EXACTLY what you put in your mixes so if you strike gold with one it is so easy to make it again and again.

Do you like Menthol Chris? On your rejected mixes a few drops of a Menthol concentrate could make them vapeable and save you wasting supplies. On your other mixes, why don't you just mix the tobacco flavours up first until you get a feel for the potency of them and what suits your taste buds, then add the additional flavours? Edit to say: Crossed posts with Stewarty there.

Yeah.........all this input & advice makes sense....I can now see the sense in mixing up the tobacco & other flavours seperately & then blending them bit by bit together. Also, I think I need to start off with a lower percentage each time. Would it be feasible if I made up my normal base ( i.e. 10 ml of nic base 75mg + 70/30 PG/VG ) & then instead of adding, for instance, my tobacco flavour at 20% target strength, start off at say 2 or 3 % & then test it & add more tobacco accordingly?...& do the same for seperate flavours......for some reason, I have it in my head, that each mix I make, has to have a total of 20% flavour, which is probably not the case.

& just to verify, if I mix the tobacco up first ( with nic base & PG/VG), when I do the additional flavour/s, I need to make it as a seperate mix i.e. with nic base & PG/VG

with the recent baccy testing I did, I mixed 5ml of liquid with about 2% flavouring just to get a feel of the flavour initally. I left them for a week. Once tested I then added the additional flavours I wanted to mix with them then waited another week. Basically I have a combination of flavours I like but wanted to see how they reacted with a different baccy base. I've subsequently rejected one of the tobacco bases which I still need to find a flavour combination for. With the preferred baccy I then mixed 20ml. It's steeped a week so far.
Got Perique and Dark Vapure in the post. Will be doing the same approach with those then adding some flavours to see what they mix well with. I've recorded each base and flavour as a separate recipe file in eJuice Me Up.
