Help !! - Think I need some VG

Help !! I've been trying my first DIY mixes, 24mg @ 100% PG, and whilst i can see what I need to do for the flavourings, it would appear that I'm going to need some VG to mix in as the vapour production is woeful, barely any on the exhale

Now, I was only buying 100% PG ready-mixed juice (apart from a couple), and my DIY results beg a few questions:-

1. as vapour production on the ready-mixed ones was much better, does that mean they probably weren't 100% PG? or

2. have I cocked-up in my mixing? (followed the e-juice me calculator)

and probably most important,

3. where's the best place to go and get some VG over-the-counter tomorrow to try and rectify my mixes ??

(I thought I saw something on here earlier about it, but can't find it now )

any help appreciated....

You should be able to get it from any chemist. I think it is Glycerin or Glycerol?

Don't forget though that the glycerine will probably need to be watered down with between 5-20% of either distilled or deionised water or vodka to get a similar consistency to your PG.
It'll help overcome any wicking issues.

Bear in mind that there was some talk about the Boots and other 'BP' Glycerines being derived from animal fats.
VG on the other hand usually comes from Palm Oil.

Doesnt say anything on the boots label but I use it and havent turned into a mad cow just yet...my wife on the other hand has been quite mad for a while now but that cant be attributed to the vg.
Not making light of anything but it works for me and i get plenty of vapour. come round and try it if you like.

I always use Boots VG in my brews, it's quite thick so you may need to dilute it down a little Jack . . . but if your mix is all PG and quite runny already, then that might not be necessary.

To draw it up out of the bottle, take the needle off your syringe and use it like that, it's much, much easier.

As Neil says below, they don't tend to put it on the label.

Unless it specifically states VG, it is /probably/ from animal or mixed sources. Whilst I'm quite happy using glycerine from both but it could pose an ethical problem for some.
