In the states, e-cigs were classified as a tobacco product in a court ruling & that's when ebay banned them from being listed. As Mandy says, I first set up All About E-Cigarettes as an eBay group in October 2008. The group is still there - community.ebay.co.uk/clubforum!boards.jspa?forumID=18000022092 but as good as dead due to being given a warning in October 2009 that all links to e-cigs had to be removed from the group Interesting!

There are a few kits on there now so they have been able to list them under the 'Quit Smoking' cat that's where my ego kit is going to be sold The only reason they are there is due to the fact they haven't been reported - yet. Ornthat they don't contain certain words on eBay's ban list. If you do try to sell your ego kit on ebay & the listing is removed, don't try re-listing it as doing so, you will risk your ebay account being NARUE'd.

I can't see the problem with selling batteries and a "devices" on ebay...they ought to get with the times and sort their lives out.
Interestingly, Amazon don't allow e-cigs according to their "policy".
I reported some ego battery kits and you know what they did? Nothing. Nothing at all. They didn't like being told what they could and couldn't sell.....so that rather extinguished my bonfire. My feeling was that it's one rule for all. Simples. I don't care (particularly) what the rule is (for or against) but it made me pretty darn cross to see a 2 x 650mah ego kit on their site for £50.

It states 'no tobacco or tobacco related products'??? E-cigs surely then don't come into that category. They also allow the sale of lighters

What I found quite bemusing on Ebay was whilst they ban ecigs you often get the targeted adverts they now run being for ecig companies. It was whilst I was browsing Ebay I saw an advert for ecigwizard and 20% off your 1st order. So eBay will not allow ecigs to be sold but will allow adverts via adchoice.

Those adds that you see whilst on eBay are actually target advertising from Google based your searching history and have nothing to do with eBay. So if you get adds popping up for things like dating agencies......

nice one, but you wont like the battery tube so i'd keep your shopping bag open Will do that, just watched a review of the newest firmware and it is progressing well i believe Yeah, its been out since the end of January, do bare in mind its a beta though so may have some issues here and there. You can get the update hereI had a play when I had an eVic with the auto function and the setting (think its the MVR VV/VW setting from memory) that allows you to have several differnt voltages/watts set throughout the time the button is pressed for to replicate how a real cigarette would glow as you took a drag from it and then the glow diminishes when you stop. Hard to put into words lol.
