Hi everyone, I finally decided to give up smoking last week so purchased a cheap £15 clearomiser e-cig (if my limited knowledge is correct). The throat hit was quite impressive and you can definitely taste the menthol from the Hangsen liquid that came with it. But as with most things, and it seems you guys are no different, I wanted to try something else (okay okay, I get bored easily!). It's also not easy vaping from this black dull cheap pen type object when everyone keeps posting pictures of stainless beauties! Soooo, I looked at finding an alternative and it seems I had a choice between an Evic or a Vamo. I didnt want to over complicate things so decided on a Vamo. Ordered yesterday from VaporBreak, £24 delivered. I didn't realise it was body only so straight to eBay for a couple of Efest 18650 3100mah batteries for £18 and a charger for £16. Cost is building! Maybe I should have stuck to my original device lol. I then realised I needed a top part (I'm new!) so carried on reading our forums. After a little soul searching, and still trying to find something not-too-complicated, I decided on purchasing a few items from VapeEscape to give them a try: 6ml purple tank £8.99 Boge pre-punched cartomiser (5) £6.29 And since they seem to have good reviews, thought I best try: Vision viva nova silver kit £9.86 I await delivery. If anybody has any advice or tips on the above, or point out any errors I may come across or something I have missed, they would be most welcome. Regards Steve. p.s. excellent source of information by the way, would never have got this far without these forums. This vaping malarky can become complicated

Also forgot to add that I purchased a few spares for my original device, such as Vision Nano Clears (x5), and a few spare 510 battery packs. Is any of this interchangeable with my new Vamo? I try to find my own answers but I'm still hazy and getting lost in all the information.
Cheers.

Hi Steve Sounds like you're off to a good (if somewhat unconventional) start . You'll have fun playing with that lot Did you get some juice too, as a change from the Hangsen menthol?

Hi Scs, I'm new too here, but everyone is really helpful. They have helped me a lot.
I believe you can punch your own hole in the cart with a nail and hammer? but then it's messing about doing it. I think they are slightly cheaper un punched, plus you can still use it unpunched as a cart without the tank. But I'm probably wrong. Am also looking at the Nova, but the mini one. You're right it does get quite expensive, but I keep justifying it against the amount I would have spent on 40 a day anyway just for last week. Once the initial outlay is done, it has to be much cheaper, if I can resist buying more shiny stuff.

Hi sleepyduck,
Thank you.
I have two orders on the way from VapingVision, the 5 bottle deal, so 10 in total. I also purchased some Arnold Apple Pie & Custard from World of Eliquid. And thought I best take advantage of their Ego T CE4's for curious friends who want to start out, only £9 quid each!

Good job! I hope all those bit arrive pronto and everything works with everything. I find buying batteries a real old worry - for some reason, I have always ended up with "vendor-bought" AWs. Enjoy your vaping.

The copper/brass combo I found earlier is something else!

I thought I had purchased a highly recommended battery for the Vamo. I think I need to go back to research school if that's the case

many people including myself have had issues with the exact same batts :-( you could do worse than emailing the supplier and asking them to change em for the lower mah not 100% without looking but think they 2200/2400 mah size you require if your order hasnt been dispatched yet u may be in luck :-)

Is it a pain to get the 3100's to fit properly then? Not exactly sure what bleeding means though? I did notice a lot of members using their Vamo in 18650 mode, unless for cosmetic purposes, but I think I have been wrong before lol.
