Ive just finished four 12 hour night shifts and I'm off now until 2nd June and it feels bloody great! We are going to the Lake District for four days on Sunday, lots of walking during the day and relaxing at night. We have our 34th wedding anniversary on 28th May and my 53rd Birthday on 29th and going to a party so will get smashed. Now all I want to do is win the jackpot on the lottery then i can retire and tell my bosses where to stick there $%^&£&* job.
Fingers crossed

Lol nope! To us its the best place we have ever been to, we go to the lakes about three times a year and stay in cottages in Keswick. The walks and scenery are fantasic and hopefully we will retire there in 13 years time. The houses are bloody expensive though and our lovely semi detached will probably get us a mid terrace 1 bedroom there, so we are saving like mad and preying we win the lottery. We go on Sunday but only for four nights this time, I should still be able to annoy everyone on here though and get online with my t-mobile dongle. Sorry delboy no cockneys allowed

The Lakes and Cornwall are both renowned for their copious rainfall - but they're both lovely really I love the feel of the rain in Cornwall compared to London. scylla

The weatherforcast for tomorrow is pretty bad, heavy rain and strong winds, so we are going to have to stick to none climbing walks and stay on the lower ground. Spoils our plans but thats the way it goes, this is only the second time we have been here when the waether has been bad.
