I did a search, but the it took so long in searching that I gave up LOL.
Anyway, are there any side effects with vaping? I've been vaping now for the last 4 weeks or so, no roll-ups at all. I'm not coughing anything up. My throat feels as if there is something stuck, like a frog LOL. I've noticed lately that my chest starts to feel tight/cold later in the day, and the coffee is tasting differently. Maybe I should try and see the doc before Wednesday (going away to SA for a month then).

I think its your bodys way of coping with not being restricted. My lungs feel like they have more breathing capacity after a couple of months not smoking. The only casualty has been my bank balance but I think I've reached my vaping plateau now so even that should calm down. Well done for the month smoke free

When I have coffee, especially late in the day after having vaped during the day, my chest\lungs feels raw as the coffee flows over it. It still beats smoking tho

Could it be dryness? Breathing warm vapour in is drying in itself. Takes some time for the body to get used to it. Try sipping drinks whilst vaping.
would coffee really flow over your lungs or chest? This may be a sensation you are feeling, but I think it maybe due to dryness from vaping.

Hope you are drinking lots of water doc? Keep your fluids up. I don't think coffee counts!

I had such a dry throat at the start which did feel like something was stuck. Kept the water intake up and now and can vape away with no problems.
Keep fluids up and give it some time.

Griffon, that's an extremely light wallet you have there!! As others have said, it sounds like you need more fluids, Doc. The side effect I've had is what seems like the odd coldsore, as I've never had them & since vaping, I've had the start of a few. The other is the ability to breathe easily, no wheezing & I can take good deep breaths & not cough.

Yeah jess. The breathing has really improved. And my sense of smell is awesome. My dogs sure need a bath!

Yep @spikeyfridge , it really lets you see, hear & feel what damage was being done & had been, even though we enjoyed the cigs. Yeah, I know we knew, but still!

+1 for sipping water (some say carbonated is best?) while you are vaping. The 'frog in your throat' sounds like a drying of the mucous membrane (sounds like I know what I'm talking about there, doesn't it!?), probably due to the PG or VG in the juice you are vaping. It could also be a result of the lungs and windpipe loosening as all those nasty chemicals in the tobacco get purged from your system, and start moving out of your body. A productive cough is not a bad thing, as the sputum is the bit that carries away the impurities. Just don't hawk it in my direction LOL Andy

Main thing reported is headaches and dizziness, presumably from too much nic and not enough water.
Increase in coughing for a while is a common side effect of giving up smoking, but the opposite happened to me - my smokers' cough, which I've had since I was 3 (tho' I didn't start smoking til I was 8) went away for a couple of months. It's come back, but not as bad.
And my taste buds go haywire occasionally.

*thumb up*Had so many weird things happen since stopping smoking and buying a ticket for the Vaptrain Red blotches/Gums bleeding/Furry tongue etc etc But there are more good things like blood circulation....Thats a major improvement for me Had a dodgy knee and my ankle was constantly aching(2/3 years) which I thought was Arthritis......Since January they have gone.....Thats when I stopped smoking My elbow which is totally knackered (Plasterer by trade) is not as bad as when I smoked....... So chin up......things get better......I think
