Hi My riva deluxe 1100 arrived today, just in time for my holiday in Thailand on Monday! I also got a spare USB charger from Vape Escape and put both the included batteries on charge. One battery showed a green light after about 80 minutes, however, the other battery, which was on charge for slightly longer, is showing an amber light. Could anyone tell me what this means please?
Many thanks.

Possibly means it is 'nearly' charged. I had issues last week 'understnding' my new Riva charger.
I would leave it another couple of hours, and expect it to turn green.
(I am no expert, but sounds like you may be in the same sitution as I was)

Thanks Fred. I just gave it a twist with a view to trying it on the other charger, after I unturned it about half a rotation, the light went green. Just to see what happened, I turned it back tighter and the light returned to it's amber state. I should add that I've been sure not to tighten the batteries too much onto the USB charger.

Update: Here's what's happening now: Battery fitted not too tightly to USB charger- green light Tighten battery half a turn- amber light Tighten again (but still not in anyway so tight to use any force ) riva battery blue light 3 times then USB charger goes red.. Certainly not anything I read about in the numerous forums/posts I studied before making my purchase!

Your half twist diconnected the battery from the charger - they show a green light with no battery connected. Mine was flashing/blinking red as it built the charge up towards full - I was worried that it was gunna explode or something. I'm guessing that your amber light is similar to my flashing red one - if so, nowt to worry about. Someone on this thread has n orange light just before fully charged. I'd still say leave it and see - possibly another couple hours. Did you get the kit from vape escape, or somewhere else?

It (battery) will flash loads of times (bout 10 i think) when it's done, and the LED will turn green.

Your batteries will also have come with a factory charge Jake, so you're good to use them from the off . . . your first charge may not take as long as it will when they're fully discharged. Happy Vaping.

Jake hope you enjoy your holiday. I always take a very small, fine screwdriver with me incase the centre post does go down to far. If it happens just gently winkle it back up a little and you'll be away again. Would hate to see you stranded without a connection whilst away . Don't forget to pack it in your suitcase ( the screwdriver) not hand luggage like I did the first time. Had it confiscated and had to buy one while on holiday because ...yes the centre post did need lifting ...sods law!!
