Hi all received my first vv today Segelei zmax it says 510 and ego threads. Mine only has the one set of threads? The 510 i think the smaller of the two.
So put my aga t on and the top cap keeps going quite warm. Is this normal?

What volts are you vaping it at ?

What Ohms coil have you on the AGA T ?

Hi Mrbee. 510 threads are the inner ones, ego the outer that a clearo screws onto.
What have you got the zmax set at? Some heating is normal given that you're making a coil glow red hot

1.4ohm and 6.5w. If you can screw a ego on this your a miracle worker 510 thread 1 ego thread 0. Lol
Also out of curiosity what should the box look like?

Yes roger the top cap of the aga. I'm new to re built dabbles. And vv mods. Can't seem to get that sweet spot.

As has been said, yes it will get warm, you are heating a coil in a confined space. Try vaping a 510 atty hard for awhile and see how hot that gets

Re your sweet spot, a 1.4ohm coil does not give you a lot to play with, I've got a 1.3ohm on a dripper and can't really go above 3.3v (about 8.5w). On another dripper I've got a 2.0ohm coil and can really play around with that one.

More coils = higher resistance, ie higher ohms.

Yeah hope so Neil. Made one earlier looked neat was heating ok but resistance kept changing. So I think a short or something. So put a silica wick in for tonight ill try again in the morn.
