True but if you suffer from arthritis or other hand/finger ailments, it can be painful holding the button down for long periods.

Actually I have tried mesh wicks and they are just not for me.
I cannot get rid of hot spots even when I follow tutorials on youtube, so I have given up on them.
Perhaps when I was younger I would have managed them, but these days it takes me about 40 minutes to coil a silica wick that others seem to do in 5 minutes.

Not that I'm bothered. At least I can do these and they work, so that is all that matters.
