Awww ((((Raggy))) another hug for you BTW, does size matter to you Just that the longest lasting batteries are bigger in circumference & therefore require a larger battery holder. & of course some people don't like them being too chunky.

Oh Raggy, I know exactly how you feel about all this! I think we probably started vaping at much the same time and I have had dire luck with some of my gear. It's just been so frustrating. It's such a simple concept and yet becomes so complicated when things go wrong. If it weren't for forums such as this I would have torn all my hair out by now, rather than just the few odd clumps. But...I'm not smoking, and I enjoy this more, and I think the cost and frustration is worth it for health reasons. I'm sure the costs will come down once I get the hardware sorted. In the meantime, two of the batteries for my 910 won't hold a charge now. I'm hoping my box mod will sort out that problem. Garry does one that is a converted passthrough and it looks really neat, reasonably compact.... As for the nicotine consumption, just dilute it. And don't give up. Look at this as a long term investment. Lynda

Lynda, the battery for that box mod converted from a passthru is a small AAA size 10440, 600mah. And though it won't need recharging as often as an ordinary e-cig battery, I doubt if one charge would last you much more than half a day - depending on how heavily you vape of course.
If anyone really is looking for a battery that lasts for up to a couple of days before you need to recharge it, then you need a large size mod that takes the 18650 2500mah. For anyone who doesn't know the first 2 digits of the battery numbers are the circumference & the second 2 are the length. So a 10440 battery is 10mm circumference & 44mm long. And the higher the mah rating, the longer it will last before needing to be recharged.

Chrissie, Anything has to be better than what I'm using at the moment..lol. Two batteries would last me all day and they're cheaper to buy too. I actually went for the AA mod. Not sure whether to buy the AAA one just because it would slip into my pocket so discretely.. I wonder if the tobacco and drugs manufacturers are reading these forums and rubbing their hands together with glee at the amount of money they will be able to make out of us if the banning legislation is passed... Don't quite know why that thought popped into my head.. Lynda

I completely agree Lynda, they will last longer & work out a lot cheaper. Plus of course you won't get problems such as the built in switch of a generic e-cig battery sticking or cutting out due to you vaping for too long. I use the AA (14500) ones in my GG & they really are good batteries. They can be charged over & over again - still using a couple that I bought last June. OK the charge in those ones doesn't last as long as it did but they still work well .

Just popped back in to say - am in a good vape phase, good atty on good battery in Screwdriver I reckon, Raggy, you could do a lot worse than a Screwdriver with plenty of atties to rotate and charged up batteries. That combo is very reliable and comfortable to handle (now that there's a big fat button on the end). Now I'm going to log off and try to fix my keyboard - a forum says the keys do come off. scylla

That all sounds just what I want BUT you still need atomizers and I'm thinking ahead to a time when they might be banned in the UK. That being the case, it wouldn't matter how good a battery housing one had or how long-lasting the batteries. By the way, I fixed my dying DSE901 atty yesterday! I held it with some long handled tweezers and poured boiling water into it, waited till it cooled a little and then blew it through. I did this two or three times, dried it and put it business side down on a radiator overnight - works like new!!! Fox

Try it by all means ragjoy but I take no responsibility for a dead atty as a result lol. It was kill or cure where mine was concerned. Do try warming the atty and blowing it through first if you can - just in case there's a build up in there that can be blown out. If you do try the boilng water trick, I hope it works as well for you as it has for mine. Fox

A lot of people steam their atties - if you don't have a steamer, you can always just place them in a metal sieve over a pan of boiling water. When either boiling or steaming, make sure the attie is completely dry before trying it out.
Others have used canned air to blow them through, make sure it's pure canned air rather than the one that comes with some chemical added.

I missed a clump of several posts there Thank you for the info about battery "codes", Chrissie - how could I have missed that in all my reading? Raggy and Foxy, here's big, clearish pic of the GG Slim, it's impressive: I think it requires a bank loan though. Ouch! that's much bigger than I realised, I'll try to shrink it later. [Gone] It's fitted with a cartomiser, which I would prefer an extension for. scylla

YW Scylla The slim is lovely though isn't it Scylla? Got to admit that if I had the money, I would buy a GG Slim for out & about (not that I go out & about much). And a GG Telescopic Storm plus AC adapter for it for when I'm at home.
