Reason i said top method is that i had a Jac Vapour and the carto's didn't really like the condom method, dunno why though.

Just get your money's worth out of them, then buy the Riva or Ego kit stu.

I use jacvapour cartos and using both methods works (For me) I like the condom method to make sure the bottom of the carto gets juice and then drip from the top to keep the filler moist. Maybe I'm vaping a lot but do find myself dripping into them quite often.
Having also tried a dripping atomiser (On an Ego styley thing) the cartos aren't that great using VG based juices but for everything else they are my daytime vape. (Until the TZMax makes an appearance)
I also recommend getting some low resistance cartos as I have really noticed an improved flavour and more vapour

I always found jacvapour cartridges filled best by filling the slow and boring way, dropping direct into the mouthpiece end (into the carto filling with the plastic bung pulled out). Takes a while..... I still use them sometimes, I have an adapter that turns them into 510. It's great, as I have no shortage of nice prefilled jacvapours and blank cartos too.

I've tried refilling my Jacvapour ones the recommended way too, and they just don't seem to last very long at all, like maybe a few hours, and even then they're not that great as when they were bought filled
Having said that, I'm only new to vaping and this is my first time trying to refill anything, is it typical that refilling is a bit crap or have I clearly done it wrong?

When a cartomiser's empty (Either a burning taste or just no hit at all) yeah i'm using the eliquid to top it up as much as it looks like it can manage

I don't think this "issue" is anything to do with JacVapour cartos. I could go and pull out a totally sealed cart (either Jac or standard blank) fill it up, vape and run out of juice quite fast. I carried 5 cartos with my Jac PCC kit to get me through the day. I carried a similar amount of boge/kanger cartos with the Riva kit in the early days. These days, I tend to carry 2 "main" batteries and a Vision Crystal (stealth). In my case is 2 (min) to 4 clearomisers. Some days, I come home having only used just one battery and one clearo.

Congratulations valeyard you've discovered one of the myths of vaping that was, I guess, invented by some dubious ecig seller. One carto is nowhere near the equivalent of 20 cigarettes. If you are the same as me then you'll be vaping a lot (Far more often than you smoked cigarettes) So getting a few hours out of a carto is normal. I found the key to successfully refilling a carto is patience, really give the juice time to soak into the filler. One tip I read somewhere to speed it up is to poke a pin down into the filler, being careful not to damage the coil down at the bottom, this gives the liquid more room to soak right down to the base. I'm also surprised at the amount of liquid a carto can take - Keep on dripping and turning until they can't take it anymore - And remember to wipe off the connection threads. I've generally got 3 cartos on the go at one time - So I can try different flavours and always have a fresh carto ready when the one I'm using gets dry. Finally if you're not smoking cigarettes then you're doing great
