Hi folks, I am new to the site, but have been vaping using a kingo from ok smokey for about 6 months. I have had enough with the juice leaking everywhere! I tried a sky cig last night for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. The batt was rubbish, but the taste ect was quite nice. Can any one suggest a more permanent e cig, and whether I should stick to clearomiser types or give the cartridges a go - is either any better? Also with regards to the throat kick is LR better or just the normal? All advice very great fully received! Cheers

not so smokey. You have found the best place on the net for honest, friendly and expert advice. There is no question that someone from here wont be able to answer. i personally would point you in the direction of a Riva 1100 kit. The sky cig is not in the same league. Unfortunately I don't know anything about the Kingo so keep reading and the answers will flood in

Welcome to you Notsosmokey. I'm a fan of Vivi Nova's, having always had good experiences with them, though I haven't tried a number of the newer delivery systems there are on the market now. www.vapeescape.co.uk/mini-nova~404Low resistance will give you a little more throat hit, as will the PG content of your eliquid . . . what flavours have you tried so far? Variable voltage would also help increase the throat hit ' kick ' as well.

Thanks Perpetua, I have only tried oksmokey's liquids - golden v and old holburn. The old H seems nicer, but the both loose their taste VERY quickly. I am not sure if this is the liquid or the kingo? I think the kingo batt is 650, would a stronger batt give a better kick? I had no idea about the PG content making a diff - i dont even know what it is in the liquid i use. So... in theory, I am looking for a LR cig, with a strong batt, possibly variable voltage - should I stick to the clearomiser or try the cartridges?

A bigger battery will enable it to have a higher voltage longer, and last longer between charges. TBH the next upgrade from your 650 would be either a 'spinner' or a 'twist' which maintain the same voltage rather than starting high, and getting lower as the battery runs out of charge. The twist or spinner also go from 3.2v-4.8 which you can adjust by a spinner or twist knob at the bottom.
In regards to clearos or carts, I have only used carts on my e-lites before I upgraded to my ego twist. So not a fair comparison but I do prefer clearos. I have a Kanger T2 that I've had for 2 weeks, apart from occasionally a small amount leaks into the mouth piece, I have no issues with burning out or dry spots.
But I know people on here highly rate the mini nova or an evod that would fit very nicely on your current battery or an ego twist/spinner if you decide to upgrade your battery.

If the answer is not very, why not buy a nice 2 battery Riva kit and a couple of evod clearomisers? I personally wouldn't recommend going to clearos from cartos, they might vape just as well (or a bit differently, say) but the refilling will annoy you, unless you don't mind that. f.w.i.w. most mini e-cigs seems OK at first....., but don't be fooled......

Hi notsosmokey sorry i missed this post but advice you got is good personally i would stay away from cartos to messy don't last long and once you burn them from lack of exp they are dead vv is your next step (variable voltage) i like the clearomizers easy to fill good taste last a while longer

cant beat a tornegova as a second. You can fit most things on one and the 1100mah keeps you vaping longer between charges. Dont use LR on your skycig you will drain that battery quicker than a welshman at an ale drinking contest.
LR will improve your throat hit as will an increase in juice strength but I would go for a tornegova (tornado, ego, riva) and some LR atties or cartos. From there the world of mods and low bank balances awaits.
Im sure more people will advise you better than I.
Regards Jez

Thanks so much guys, the advice is much appreciated. I think I'm going to try a few diff 'ends' on my 650 batt and see how I go. I thought this lark was meant to be cheaper than normal fags! It's a hella lot more confusing!

It's a hella lot more confusing! Yeh but you will soon get the hang of it, and once you have found your sweet spot, i,e right juice, delivery system and watts (voltage vs ohms) and you will be saving bucket loads, as long as shineytitus doesn't get you. Currently I have saved £87 on tobacco but spent £106 on vaping gear lol, but I'm nearly there!
