Lol Roachie. Katfish would have used an angle grinder and a lump hammer. My dead 'uns are piling up. I shall have a go at boiling 'em, microwaving them and de-bridging them when I get bored with knocking them off my laptop.

I can put metal in my microwave. I'm not expecting boiling or mickywave to work but I've nothing to lose by trying to debridge a couple of duffs (apart from my temper)

It's a Panasonic micro & browner Scylla. Has a big metal stand you can put things on to brown, grill and combi all of the things. Had it for years but I lose the will to live if I use it to grill and things come out like bullets if I try to grill and micro. It's supposed to calculate cooking times based on the weight of certain food types. Takeout foil containers can go in it too, but the lids have to be loosened or else lots of arcing goes on and they catch fire and stink I just use it to hot things up and shove me finger in to see if it's hot enough and I soften ice cream in it instead of Uri Gellering the spoons. With luck, maybe I'll be able to use it to revive atties too

Mine's micro/grill/convection - I shall read the instruction book again to see if metal can be used on the micro program. Good luck with yer atties, I've never succeeded with boiling them or cartos. Ian's the wiz for that scylla
