Hi, I would really appreciate any advice you can offer. I have been smoking for nearly 30 years, 10-15 Sterling Superkings red a day. I don't want to quit completely yet just cut down and save some money. there are so many types of ecig i dont know where to start. cant afford to spend £ 50+ in case i dont get on with it. i have read some of the advice given but I'm still a bit confused(actually a lot confused). everyone seems really friendly on this site so didnt think you'd mind helping me understand and take the plunge! thanks

Hi,
Have just started myself, did a good few google searches before i took the plunge, lots of good review sites.
I went for the JACVapour V1P starter kit, have had my first full day with it today and have not missed normal cigarettes at all
Cheers
Tom

+1 for the riva kit. Comes with a variety of bits so you can easily find "your vape". Although had no experience of the jacvapor so I will definitely not knock that at all.

Hi Mandi, If you want to try a good ecig you could get a single battery kit like THIS. Have a look at the videos on the page to get an idea of how to use this type of Ecig and what it looks like, there are other Vendors doing this kit that I'm sure others will recommend, so you could be up and started for less than £20 or less! This is a "Trial kit" which includes 10ml of E-liquid which is roughly equivalent to 80 - 100 cigarettes, but if you find you like e-cigs it can easily be expanded this to a full kit by adding extra batteries and atomisers, cases etc. Also a lot of people start by using a Ecig alongside normal cigarettes then most find they smoke less and vape more & more. Just ask away here, no question is silly.

HI MANDY not so many replies i think its because over the last few days we have had a really big influx of new members all asking the same questions truthfully the first few months is more expensive than smoking. I would also say that you will probably want some thing resembling a real smoke which really narrows it down, try looking at some thing like this www.ukecigcabin.com/product/ego-t%20starter%20kit%201000mahcheap and you get juice with it or some thing a little more stylish just more money www.vapeescape.co.uk/joyetech-ecab-starter-kit~441plenty of spares available should last a long while both of these venders have discount codes for money off save some cash

what about flavours? i would prefer to get it as close to my real cigs to start with. maybe experiment later. and also i think they come in different strengths don't they?

Ok thanks sorry if I'm making you repeat yourselves it's just quite a big step for me. I understand though it's a lot of trial and error.

As for juice probably try around 18mg to start. there is no juice that tastes exactly like burning tobacco, but some of the tobacco ones are quite nice. When I first started I got a few of these as you can buy them in small sample size bottles paradisevapeuk.vstore.ca/ejuice-tobacco-flavour-c-1_6.htmlDrum and Benson Fences are both quite nice

As you are a "medium smoker" I would recommend 18mg strength to start with, you may find you want to reduce this later, as to flavours, that is the REALLY difficult question! You could try one of the tobacco flavours, my recommendation would be to try "RY4" I know it does not sound like any cigarette you know but it is a generic flavour that a lot of e-cigs come supplied with, it's a sort of caramelly/tobacco flavour. Keep asking!

No apologies needed, i remember how confused i was when i started.
As for juice flavours, ciggys are very hard to replicate, the tobacco flavours tend to taste the same as tobacco smells if that makes sense.
