So, My Vision Ego V3 turned up this morning. I was that impressed that I bought a Vision Vivi Nova STV thinking it was similar. I've then read stuff about rebuilding them and i'm worried i'm in over my head. My understanding was that you just buy replacement heads for them and that is it? Is that right?
I'm totally in love with how the V3 vapes, going to be gutted if that and the Vivi Nova are going to turn into a fiddly nightmare?
Thanks in advance x

You are right, just buy a new head, unscrew the old one and screw the new one on, put back together, fill and away you go.

You certainly can buy replacement heads for them collie. You might like to try the dual coil when you do I think they are much better - vapourhut.com/vh-nova-xheater for instance. Whatever replacement heads you buy, check with the supplier that they will work with your STV. There are different models of Nova around, and not all are compatible.

Awesome, that was what I thought :-) How easy are they to rebuild and is it any cheaper? I might consider doing some research if it will save me money, that gives me more money to try new things

Fairly easy, i did my first few yesterday, managed to get them all to come out at 1.8-2.0 ohms.
Wire you can get from dee on here which is about 60p pm and then wick is a £1 pm ish so yeah works out a lot cheaper.

With that pre wound giles do you just cut to length and then unwind the coils until you have the right size coil in the middle of the wick?

In my mind, the expression word "rebuildable" means one of two different things. In the case of a Vision V3 or Nova, the simple answer is that you can simply take it apart, unscrew the atomiser head and replace it. Most replacement heads are £2.50, some place offer 5 packs for £10 or something and if you go down the route of using non-branded clearomisers, then you can get heads for as little as £1-ish. OR, if you want, you can learn to make a new wick and coil and fit it to the existing atomiser head. It's not that hard, but you need a multi-meter to make sure it'll be OK to use (no short in the circuit) and maybe to test the resistance.
I do a bit of both t.b.h.

Rebuilding- some days for me its dead easy and some days I just wanna scream and curse because I haven't a cat to kick, not that I would. I have only recoiled about 15 in my time and was guided by the well informed posts with images on AAEC. My first attempts was unsuccessful but after walking away and coming back with a clear head, it becomes oh so easy
Oh and it definitely cheaper

That looks remarkably easy, and rather cheap. I might have to get some, my current "rebuilding" extends to jamming bits of rolled up cotton wool through the coil on my T3s, which remarkably does work. Not yet brave enough to start fiddling about with coils.

Can I rebuild on the V3? It looks like a pretty similar set up to the Nova internally.

The only problem I have come across with the Vision Vivi Nova STV, is that because the viewing window is just a slit, sometimes I end up with the wicks in line with the viewing window and I cannot see the actual e-juice level.
This is easily sorted by holding onto the nurled ring at the base and screwing the tank off just a few mm. The tank will remain juice tight, but the window will be clear of the wicks.

Ok, I've decided i'm going to be brave and rebuild instead of throwing money at new heads. I have precision tools from my jewellery making and I have loads of silver plated copper wire in various thickness, can this be used? I also have a small haberdashery going on here too so what can I use for wick? Does it have to be Silica??
