You need to talk to a doctor about that one mate as you have to be really careful with nicotine. Its not the headache thats the issue - the headache can be a symptom of at worst cardio distress caused by the excess of nicotine at best just smokers "head rush". If you decide to do it you really need to up your water intake massively or indeed your liver and kidneys can end up damaged by excess effort of removing the nicotine.
One occasion when I was trying to quit I was on the highest patches available but got huge withdrawal including blurred vision and other nastiness so smoked too. My GP stopped the patches as soon as he found out and ordered a blood test - my liver function had quadrupled.

I tried quitting with patches a couple of times. They kept going out though.
Best thing to do with patches is stick em over your eyes. You can't find your fags....lol
Seriously though. You're meant to put them in a different place every day. I used to take mine off before i had a shower and put on a new one after my shower. Well i had put one on the back of my leg and forgot to take it off. I came out of the shower and put a new one on my arm. About an hour later i started to feel groggy and sick to my stomach. It wasn't till i went to bed that i realised i had the one on my arm and another on the back of leg. I also had one on the back of my other leg from the night before the night before. No wonder i felt a bit groggo !!!!!!
I'm quite lucky i only have two legs.

I only tried patches once Mrl for all of a morning. . . they didn't hit the spot one little bit for me and I ended up smoking as well with it on . . . made me feel very light headed and peculiar, so off it came. Champix was a little better, although the first tablet of the day made me violently sick each and every time I took it for the duration of the course . . . and my head felt like it was made of cottonwool.

Should be fine just monitor yourself carefully and make sure to double check with a GP - we don't want you appearing on the news as a victim of "vaping" - it would be the e cigs fault if recent media is anything to go by.

It's worth a try if they've worked for you before then Mrl . . . have you tried Champix - they do work for many people, I actually went for 2 whole days without a cigarette at all after I'd finished the 3 month course . . . but I missed the hand to mouth thing too much.
And of course I didn't actually want to not smoke . . .

You could always try using the patch and vaping zero nic juice

I used the 24hr patches and had terrible nightmares. I figured I didn't smoke in my sleep so could safely leave them off at night.
I often wore two and smoked but didn't experience any ill effects I was aware of.

I tried to quit with the patches, forgot I had one on after a few drinks and had a cig. My head was swimming, I felt like I was going to be sick it was horrid. I think the idea of using the patch with zero nic might be a good idea but I wouldn't vape nicotine with a patch on.

i did it on patches for a few months and also the lozengers but it was still a battle of will power, i used to hate the bloody nightmares they caused and weird dreams which ive never had whilst vaping.
