Hi all.... Anybody any idea why I keep getting a little shock while I take a draw on my vamo ? I've just put a new head in the nova but it didn't fit properly so I took off the little metal bit on the rubber grommet at the top of it so I could get it to fit properly...I'm sure you know the bit I mean sorry haven't got a picture..... Could this be the reason why it's giving me a shock ?

All i can think is when tightening the top it as now cut into the rubber cap and making connection to the center tube.

As Mev said, or you have the 'wrong' type of Nova head in your Nova.

No, the voltage is too low for a shock.

No, the voltage is too low for a shock. Sent from my Nexus 4 using proboards Thats what I would have thought. Does it give you a shock when you touch it to pick it up, or only when you press the button?

If its the wrong type of Nova head and not fitting properly then the cente post could be touching the metal top section. You can make a spark with a 1.2v AA battery.

A spark has nothing to do with it, it is too low voltage to give you a shock. It's also nothing to do with the heads being loose or whether they're genuine. Sent from my Nexus 4 using proboards

On the rubber grommet which one of these did it look like... The one on the right is a genuine Vision head and shorter than the one on the left, a non-genuine. p.s I never said loose Des

It's a genuine original vivi nova that I've used for ages as for the heads they are also genuine but this time the ones that I've been sent to me have a little pointy metal bit on the top ? No idea why it's there , never was there on other ones I've ordered in the past.... It just means that I'm unable to screw the top cap on properly so I pulled the little metal bit off to make it fit.... It doesn't shock as I pick it up , only when I press the button , need to state it's not every time I fire it just occasionaly but always when I put it to my mouth I'm a little aprehensive as to if I'm gonna shout "Ow" or not.....

Where did you get the heads from ? They do not sound like genuine Vision ones. If you had no issues before fitting these heads......

It's def a genuine head as I bought it from Jason.....A bit like the one on the left but the metal bit on top of the rubber piece is actually a bit taller than the one in your photo

All I can say is that IF you are having to modify the head to get it to fit then it's the wrong head, or you are fitting it incorrectly, which is unlikely on something so simple I know . I would contact Jason and ask him to double check.
