Just realised that the Nomad is the DSE905. As Scylla has said on Ragjoy's Screwdriver thread, there where a lot of problems with the first 2 versions of the 905 but I think most of them have been solved with Version 3. However, I'm still unsure of the quality of the product.

Thanks for that Chrissie. I agree - I have read some fairly grim stuff about the first two versions and I was all set for buying the Screwdriver, but it's that button on the end that puts me off. Because I smoke when I drive, the angle you need to hold the SD looks like it may be a hindrance - and my driving needs as little hindering as possible! However, I think there is a chance I am envisaging a problem that may not be valid.

I am still torn - my basket is loaded up but I've not yet clicked the lovely 'pay now' button. I guess if the unit is faulty then I will be able to return it, but I was thinking that if it made by the manufacturer of the DSE901 then it can't be too bad can it?

Thanks for the tip about the portable hub - I've ordered one so that takes the pressure off making a decision as I will be able to get through next Wednesday without having to buy a different PV

Jaki, I wonder if it will be worth you hanging fire until Vaper Station has their new mod the Avatar in stock? I think it's supposed to be available in about a months time. No specifications on it yet though.

I can't believe the latest 905s won't be perfect after all the problems. I do recall the igetcha69 review of an earlier one (the one that the end fell off! [Grimm Green's YT review]) where Scott comments that the build quality wasn't that great.

The quality of the MkII SD is really good IMHO.
