Reflections on the last few days, A week or so ago i went to a vape meet set up by triphammer www.facebook.com/groups/407709949242537/doc/615654041781459/ it was a great evening and i purchased a few bottles of his juice which all have been great however without realising i bought two bottles of his tabaco flavours in high nic content which i also loved but have had some effects on me with the nic content. First of all i found when i vaped the juice i got a real hit/high which on reflection was obviously the nic content however i bought the tobaco flavours as i sometimes feel i am missing something in my normall sweet flavours and yes i found this helped with the cravings even though i had previously gone of tabaco flavours. After a day or two of vaping these high nic juices i found that i have just been through a horrible day of snappyness to others around me and finally i tryed to end the day early and retired to bed with my heart jumping out of my chest and obviously very high blood pressure. This is all obviously my fault as i should have checked the nic levels i bought as i have been trying over the last month or so to make sure all nic was around 15mg as i am trying to get down to 0 nic in the future, has anyone else found/had simmilar reactions with adjusting nicotine levels. Conclusion Looking back over the past few years it makes me wonder if when i have been through stressful situations and smoked more due to the stress is it the smoking that has added to the situations by increasing heart rate/ blood pressure making the situations worse and not better as my habbit(smoking) makes me feel. Funny thing this smoking makes you wonder how many more mind games it plays with you without realising the power of the addiction, and it is only now that i play with nic content that i am realising the effects it is having on me mentally and physically. I look forward to learning of others experiences please let me know if simmilar things have happened to you. Regards Rich Ps. Triphammers juices are out of this world what i have tasted so far if you have not tryed them as yet you must try atleast one if you like the chewy refreshers sherbert bars u must try his refreshers juice, his t+h tobaco is lovely if you have the right nic content or maybe it was so nice i just need a lower nic so i can vape it more in my kayfun which may also have an impact on the nic:) Take a look at his facebook page or you can buy the refreshers and t+h at vapescape too.

Since my very first blood pressure test at about 20 I have been told that it was on the high side. So after 3 month of vaping and in the doctors office I asked for a test, for the first time in my life it was perfectly normal. I had also been vaping in the waiting area just before I went in. I am getting through 4-5ml of 18mg juice a day and yes I can feel I have overdone it at times, so go and do something else for a bit. But overall my heart is behaving much better.

Hi Markm Yes i think the high is 24mg and i have been on 15mg for a few weeks so it may explain the effects it had on me atleast i know what has caused it however if i was smoking i probably wouldent of had a clue:)

I know I certainly felt more stressed when I smoked 40/50 cigarettes a day Raw, despite smoking that number to relieve the stress at the time! My sleeping has also been much improved since vaping as I don't wake up 3 or 4 times a night and get up to have a ciggy as I used to.

Hi Raw, and thanks for posting this. I have been diagnosed with high BP back last October, strangely about 4 weeks after giving up the tobacco. After waiting and seeing if it would sort itself out, I had another blip about 6 weeks ago and am now on medication, which has brought it right down to normal. My GP didn't seem to think that the nicotine delivery I was using instead of the tobacco would be a relevant factor in this, but did seem to think that the fact my body was now without all the other chemicals might have some significance. I have noticed that as long as I keep my vaping under control and stay on the 12mg level or lower that I can survive without any palpitations or racing heart rate. It might be worth having a chat with your GP and see what his thoughts are. Andy

Do you have one of those home blood pressure monitors? I ask 'cos I've taken to using one (since my cousin brought hers round to test my Dad, and I used it and was apparently about to explode, which scared the heck out of me! Thankfully that result has never been repeated!). Sometimes (much less frequently since I switched to vaping) I get a racing heart and/or light headedness - whenever I test at those times I find that my BP is actually LOW, not high. My heart rate is normal for my age, which is nice Most of the time my BP is normal too, but I have been known to get a little excited whilst waiting for the postman

Hi all Thanks for your responses its nice to see its not only me and yes perpetua its silly to think we smoke to releive stress which in fact causes the opposit, andy i have an apointment booked for tomorrow afternoon for the chest clinic at my gp as last april they diagnosed me with copd at 39 i didnt belive them but maybe i should have taken note a year ago instead of 3 months ago. I thought that tomorrow would be a good test on how i have improved in the last three months il let you all know the results when i get them and il also ask about the heartrate etc as im sure i had those tests done last year too:)

I can remember when I first started to mix my own e liquid and one night I tested about 10 flavours and had to puff away the remains that were in the atomiser. After the fifth test I went dizzy and had to lie down with my heart was beating like Johnny Weissmuller (for the younger generation...he was the first ever Tarzan character on TV and Olympic swimming sensation). Nicotine must have been the cause and after that I have been careful and it's not recurred. I'm also still shit at swimming and swinging from tree to tree. Hope all is well raw1211, sometimes you need to make an effort to listen to your body and obey it's demands, like rest and play.
