I just had a look at the ones for North scotland (what I know most about) and any of them look fab. Nairn is a bit run down but good for grampian (think baxters factory and whisky ) and then you can come and visit ME and like it says not far from inverness... Personally I'd go for the dornoch one www.ukholidaysinthesun.co.uk/cgi-bin/UKHS_park_0003.cgi?copy=1090&promo=SUNSUM13&sort=A&showall=YDingwall (nearby) has this cracking charity shop run by the community (green something or other) which is just fab and inverness is very close by and it's beautiful...or try the pitlochry one though pitlochry is a bit over done on the tourist thing (nairn isn't...inverness is but still nice)... I have no idea about southern scotland - sorry

Have to say, the Dornoch site is lovely, but a bit of a treck for a short break!
Is Stanwick Park at Silloth an option? It's a fab site, pool doesn't close until 9.00pm and there's 10 pin bowling. Not much in Silloth, nice beaches though and Scottish Borders and the Lake District and Carlisle are nearby!

Northern Scotland as nice as I'm sure it is doesn't warrant a 4 day break So after a chat with the gaffer ( thats what she likes to call herself ) We're both in opinion that Scotland is on our wish list So it's looking very much like a trial run to southerness for a short break North Scotland is still on the to do list :-))) Thanks for your input :-)) much appreciated

There's not as much choice there as usual The one I linked to above stanwix is in the North of England, Cumbria, very close to Scotland Seton Sands is near Edinburgh, I've never been to that one before but have a sneaky weekend booked there in July. I'll be happy so long as I can walk my dog on the beach. There's not much at Eyemouth, it has a nice wee harbour though and is in the picturesque Scottish Borders and only a stone throw from Northumberland which has a lovely coast line. Not too far from Alnwick which has the caste that Harry Potter was filmed at. Can't be of any more help, sorry
